Unlike the other two that I played mostly for the experience I can definitely see myself playing more of this in the future I love this game so much. It feels like the definitive Darkstalkers experience plus any game with Lilith is a good game by default

Few things in this world can get me emotional like the ending to the pacifist route of this game. I never finished genocide cuz it felt really boring to play through but there’s something so eerie about how characters will have specific dialogue about whichever play through you did first

Fun game even though I hated the special stages and time travel gimmick. If you played this with the US soundtrack you’re a fed

Kids today will never know the feeling of the computer lab teacher telling us we could get on coolmath when the lesson was over. Run 2 peak gaming

I used to be mad about losing on Pokémon x wifi battles as a kid I’d get on this to cope

First castlevania I finished all I have to say was it was nice

Standard fire emblem gameplay it’s ok here too but there’s really stinky sections like the fog map with zephiel. I find the plot to also be super boring until nearly the very end and also never got the appeal of lyn as a character

My friends have been telling me to play this game for literal years and I feel bad for not listening. This is most likely the best prequel game I’ve ever played and it’s encouraged me to continue on to the rest of the series. Never have I played a game that felt so grounded and real . I don’t have much else to say other than regret over not playing this masterpiece sooner

2016

Super fun game with amazing music and combat but everything else feels half baked. There’s such an alarming amount of janky platforming in a game obviously not built for it. My biggest praise for this game is the difficulty I played through my first time on ultra violence and it was an amazing adrenaline rush. All in all I would say it’s solid not groundbreaking but nowhere near terrible

The cheap ambush spawns make me think the developers of this game got too excited with the new event scripting that allowed them to have certain events play out when you pick up items and went overboard. Completely erases the skill based formula of doom 1 but super shotgun is awesome

As much as the “it really makes you FEEL like ___” trope has been done to death in superhero game reviews I really felt like Spider-Man here. The quick and smooth combat, suits with sometimes deep comic connection , story that actually had stakes (which with the way they’ve been handling peters Spider-Man in the comics is extremely rare nowadays) and awesome story set pieces i had a great time here. It sometimes felt like a movie instead of a game at times with how investing it is. I will say though stealth gameplay was very clunky and when you have to play as miles and Mj it drags even though it’s not entirely bad

Not a very big fighting game player but I’ve been playing this with a buddy who’s around my skill level and experimenting with the huge roster Is so fun . I imagine you could throw this on at a get together and have a blast it’s definitely hype enough to work at a party

I loved this game almost as much as the first and sunk alot more time into it but this truly feels like the beginning of when dark souls bosses stopped being about fair but punishing difficulty and starting to feed into the statements about dark souls being extremely hard. It’s so easy to get one tapped in your first run of a boss because you’re still learning and I feel like if the damage was toned down it would be alot better. No idea why they decided to remove upgrading armor but made every boss be able to kill you with a light tap

This has to be the best dlc to accompany a souls game and perhaps one of the best pieces of dlc ever made. In my mind the old hunters and the base game of bloodborne feels inseparable and when rating this im giving both of them a 5. I don’t feel like I can say much more that hasn’t been said but bloodborne feels like a once in a lifetime masterpiece and the old hunters only bolsters it

I think In terms of story presentation this is where the mainline smt games peaked. Descending from mikado tower just to find out it’s a post apocalyptic Tokyo is such an intriguing and mystifying feeling. The music and art direction in this game is near perfect and I love constantly fusing new demons. My only real complaints are how broken smirk is and how bland the dungeon exploration feels but I still enjoyed every second of this
