Forever angry now that I let people convince me to avoid this because 'walking sim'. I'm sorry Hideo, i wasn't ready

ENCYCLOPEDIA [Trivial: Success] - Disco Elysium is one of the greatest games ever made.

Riddler gives Batman his ultimate test of intelligence by making him drive a car really fast.

AAAA IM ROONING OH FUCK IM GONNA ROOOON

A solid improvement on the first game. Combat is far more bearable now, and i actually felt encouraged to try out different weapons because of the upgrade progressions. Level design is still superb too and kept me lookimg forward to more.

However for all it does better, i still felt frustrated in a few areas. The glider and racing sections particularly felt painful to play, and the ship combat was just so-so. Like with the first game, the last few levels are also a bit of a mess, practically begging the player to spam cheese weapons to win or get smacked with infinite enemies.

I ended up having an experience with better gameplay from the first title, but one that didn't really elevate it to a new height. It's still a great game and shout out to Vimm's Lair for letting jaded PC players like me give these games a go.

Absolutely goated Jedi simulator. Very little shitty level design or ridiculous encounters from previous entries and it just perfects everything good about Jedi Outcast.

The story is a bit too generic and predictable for me to call it a masterpiece but the game is so damn fun i'd consider it a must play for any star wars fan

To win the game, you must kill me, John Romero

Everything that needs to be said about this game has been said. Just go play it.

I was pretty dissapointed with this game. It's a very slow burn, and if you stick with it you'll get an incredible experience in the last few levels.

Unfortunately, this game makes the process of becoming a powerful Jedi utterly miserable. It's great in theory to see a mercenary grow to a Jedi master, but when the shooting is somehow worse than Dark Forces from 1995 i start to slam my head into the wall. The game also cock teases you by giving you a lightsaber and some abilities, then immediately throwing so many ranged enemies at you it's impossible to do anything without using guns for a few levels. Add to that Kyle brushing his toe against something kills him instantly and about 50% of the game is awful.

The thing is that when it pops off it's just so goddamn good it makes you apprecuate the suffering at least a little bit. Jedi Outcast and Jedi Academy have some of the most enjoyable melee combat in any game, I just feel like Jedi Academy perfected it by giving players that experience throughout.

Got suggested this by a friend years back and thought nothing of it since i used to stay far away from Japanese games.
Oh boy when i finally played it i ended up beating every game in the series and couldn't stop.

Everything about this series is excellent, and Yakuza 0 is such a perfection of that formula that it's probably one of the most enjoyable, stylish, emotional and funny experiences i've ever had in any medium

My favourite AC game, and it's about pirates bullying Spanish people. The naval combat is so good that it feels like the perfect escape from the goofy combat that crept in from AC3.
Problems are still there, but they're so buried beneath a pirate sim that it's not much of an issue. The plot is not my favourite (both historical and modern), but the whole experience just grabs me more than any other entry in the series.

Pretty solid game and a good sequel to the first. The gameplay is largely more enjoyable and if you played Bioshock 1 and didn't want more Big Daddy content you smell.
Only downside i have really is that the story doesn't hit the same high, and rapture feels less interesting on a second visit.

I have never played these games. I was abused as a child and therefore only had access to an Xbox, so i never got to play these old playstation classics until well into adulthood when i got some stuff set up.

Had no idea what to expect going in blind 2 decades later, but this game really wow'd me. The level design and world hopping is so tight i just wanted to find everything on each little map. The platforming is also less janky than i thought and makes the levels not suck. What did hurt it for me was the combat, which slows the game down to a crawl in certain scenarios, and the late game can be super tedious if you haven't got some optimal gear.

Generally speaking though, the gunplay was adequate enough to deal with, and the silly plot and excellent levels had me fully engaged to get to the end
