Beaten it like 25 times in my life. As soon as the credits roll I want to start playing again.
The graphics and the soundtrack are amazing for the time it came out. Robin Beanland made a terrific job with the OST of this game. And the atmosphere of each planet, of each location, is phenomenal.
One of my favorite games of all time.
Controls may be weird at the beginning but dual stick controllers were just being born at the time. The devs had to adapt and experiment.

The best lightgun game in the NES.
GAME C was so much fun to play.

I don't get why many people dislike this game.
Combat is so much fun, and the levels are gorgeous and full of variety, with nice puzzles mixed into the formula. The presentation and graphics look awesome and voice acting is superb.
As a long time Castlevania fan, I appreciate they tried the "God of War gameplay" for a more action oriented game.
Pretty good indeed; a lot more than I expected.

Tin Tin dies even from a mosquito bite in this game.
Don't get it wrong, the game is good, but cryptic and frustrating from time to time.

GAME
As kid I remember trying to beat it without losing a single life. So cool.
Nowadays the remaster is the way to play it, as it expands a lot of things over the original.

I'm still mesmerized by its ending.
There is something magical about this game that is hard to describe.
I never expected for it to be so deep and spiritual as it is.
I'm just glad I played it.

It makes me happy that they resurrected this old series.
The characters are charming, and the animations look fantastic.
It kinda makes you think on how fast life passes, and how much we have grown since we were kids.

Great story and great combat mechanics for a 1995 RPG. Not to mention the voice acting and a theme song with vocals, all packed in a tiny Super Famicom cartridge.

It also has Arche.

Funny characters with pretty detailed sprites. Simple but effective and addictive gameplay. And very, very challenging.
My only complain is, why did they redesigned Little Mac like that??!!

Amazing hidden gem from the NES era. Great OST, nice 8-bit graphics and solid gameplay with a fair difficulty (except for the water boss).
Totally worth it.

This game is a rollercoaster.
It broke my heart more times than I can count.
A really eccentric, complex and human experience.

The moment you start to feel bad while playing a game, 'cause you keep questioning to yourself if what you are doing is right or wrong, is the moment you realize you are playing something very unique.

I'm not gonna lie. I finished this on Normal difficulty back in the day and it was hell. When I saw that you needed to finish the game on Hard to watch the real ending, my child self was like "whaaaaaaa?".
Years later I did it with cheats. I don't care. The difficulty in this game is so cruel, arcade level. I think is way too much. I appreciate the cool ideas they implemented and the non-stop action, but after a while it gets really frustrating.
The first original Contra still remains as my favorite.

I like so much the protagonists' personalities and their interactions, and the main villain and Qwark are hilarious. The whole game presentation and humor are so enjoyable, and the gameplay meet the expectations. Feels like Banjo-Kazooie with guns.
Fun and original, with a little confusing level design from time to time. Or maybe I was a lot more stupid when I played it. Who knows.

SO GOOD! One of the hidden gems of the N64. Is true that the graphics are pretty underwhelming, but the core concept, the amount of variety and the surreal but fun levels make it so great! Also is very hilarious and you can't deny that the main story is as ridiculous as original. Really worth it.

Loved every minute of it. The game is so much fun. The first hour may get a little bit annoying thanks to the constant intromission of Fi Olivia, but past that is pure joy. The art style, the writing, the exploration and the new battle mechanics are great. Battles work more like puzzles than actual RPG battles, and the best are the boss battles; these are amazing in terms of mechanics and presentation.
Another thing that caught me by surprise was the OST. I wasn't expecting to be such a banger. Its full of great and catchy melodies.
Its as fun as the original Paper Mario (game I love), and better than TTYD (contrary to the majority, I never liked that game so much).
Fantastic game. By the way, it has the most shocking and sad moment I have ever seen in any Mario game. If you already played the game, you know what I'm talking about. It totally manages to leave an impact.
