Games I'll Try To Get Around To (Re)Playing In 2024

I've come to learn that when making these lists, I rarely follow through with most of these because either there's too many to get through, my interests unexpectedly change overtime, and admittedly I don't set out realistic goals for stuff I feel I needed to be properly invested in the first place. Think I've learned enough to cut out all the bullshit and keep things simple, though. Leaving out a few holdovers from last year that I'm still currently playing through (Death Stranding, Star Ocean The Second Story: R, and a second Baldur's Gate 3 playthrough for examples), this is the shortlist of games I'm personally super interested in getting right into over this new year. Let's see how it goes!

Persona 4 Golden
Persona 4 Golden
I made a bet with someone over something, and now I gotta fulfill my end of that bargain by replaying this and finally trying out Persona 5 Royal. It should be real interesting diving into them, especially this one again.

Demon's Souls
Demon's Souls
I'm pretty virginal when it comes to the souls-borne games, since the only one I've dedicated time towards was Elden Ring, but I don't believe I can really finish that anytime soon. I've looked through FromSoftware's catalog and I just have this certain feel going on that this is might be the perfect one to fully sink my teeth into.
Yakuza Kiwami
Yakuza Kiwami
Even after digging through my Steam library to pick up and beat Yakuza 0 ever since I bought it ages ago, I'm not sure if I can say I adore this series as much as many people do. I can say that I enjoyed it enough to continue onto here and see where it takes me from now on.
Final Fantasy XVI
Final Fantasy XVI
I couldn't get into this last year because it was still locked to the PS5 and the discussions surround it at launch gave me the vibe of "ok, time to distance myself enough to give this a more fresh perspective when the dust has settled". If the PC port doesn't come out, then I'm sticking with going back to FFXIV and see where that goes instead.
Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen
Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen
To prepare for Dragon's Dogma II, and by that I mean when that shit doesn't cost $70 dollars, I've settled on giving this a try in the meantime.
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth
I'm heavily considering on buying this digitally first day to play it on a console I don't own but can borrow. It's either that or I suffer long enough for the PC port later this year.
Marvel's Midnight Suns
Marvel's Midnight Suns
I've been following PatStaresAt and I like him, and he's been praising this game hard enough that I considered buying it on sale. They also added Marvel characters who don't normally show up in these games any more like Nico Minoru and Magik who are some of my favorites, so this a must-play for me.
Fallout
Fallout
Baldur's Gate 3 single-handedly revived my affinity and passion for these western developed role-playing games. It did enough to the point that I'm now embarking on a CRPG gauntlet, having fresh new experiences with games I've never played, and re-experience the ones I already have before. I'm basically clearing out Black Isle's entire role-playing catalog in chronological order, and even throwing in Arcanum for fun.

Tomb Raider I•II•III Remastered

Alright, this one is more of a "maybe" compared to everything else here, but I've turned into a PS1 fanatic these past years and having this on the Switch sounds comfy af.
