It's the first game but not as fun. The new additions don't change anything for the better, and the first game wasn't great in the first place. Eh.

I will always go to bat for this despite having never finished it even once. I just think wandering around in the cold wilderness and yelling at things until the fly into the sky is fun.

Yes the glitches and repetitive dialogue are really funny. The actual gameplay sucks. Stick to watching Bacon_'s videos on youtube.

Probably the first RPG I ever played. I cannot really say anything "unbiased" about it. The combat is middling and everything else is hit or miss, but the atmosphere is great. I think this was the game that put me on to valuing the "vibe" something has.

It's no DCSS but it's pretty fun. Also quite accessible, if you're looking for an entry point into the traditional roguelike genre.

I have been playing this game on and off for more than a decade, and have beaten it only twice. Incredibly challenging, has very deep mechanics, and it's pretty accessible if you want an in-road to this genre. My only complaint is that they cut the Draining Eye a few updates ago; rest in peace to my man Craig.

It's all of the good Halo games in one place, plus the two Just OK ones. You can't go wrong with this, really.

What is there to say about this? It's Halo. Yeah the level design is repetitive. Who cares? Wort wort wort.

The fact that they never did playable Arbiter again is a sign of total cowardice. Probably the best of the original Halo trilogy.

If they had never made another Halo game after this I think the series would still be remembered VERY fondly.

Possibly the best mechanical game in the whole series, but I kind of can't forgive making it a prequel and thus avoiding having the Flood show up again. Tsk!

I've never been QUITE as keen on this as some people are, but it's still a very good FPS. Compelling plot, love the atmosphere.

The perspective-switching stuff is really irritating and I have no idea what direction they were trying to take the story. Easily the worst mainline Halo game.

It's fine. It doesn't really register as a "Halo game" to me, but the new enemies and weapons are cool. If you really cared about the OG trilogy's lore you probably have incredibly strong opinions on this game. I personally think it's a solid 6/10.

What a weird game. If I had not gotten this for "free" as part of a GamePass sub I would probably have been very disappointed in it, because I still don't understand what they're trying to do with the story, but the gameplay is fun again and that does count for something.

In the single-player I mean. The multiplayer is bunk.
