The platformer that defined the 16-bit era. There's not a whole lot to say.

A fun game to compliment the first Super Mario World. Some of the tightest platforming I've ever experienced. The graphics are great and the soundtrack is a provides an excellent atmosphere. I highly recommend it.

In my personal opinion, Pokemon Emerald is the premier Pokemon experience. if I wanted to get someone into Pokemon, I wouldn't show them the brokenness that is Gen 1 or 2, I'd go straight to 3. Some of the coolest lore in Pokemon comes from this game. Catching them all is more challenging than ever with some of the most cryptic ways to catch some of the legendary Pokemon.

I was 5 years old when Red Version & Blue Version came out in the States. I thought we were in the future when I picked up Gold Version (colors on a Game Boy was exciting). Then when Ruby & Sapphire came out, I was over the moon. Emerald is literally the best of both worlds. Why play Ruby or Sapphire when Emerald exists?
