Overachieving game music

List of games with music that outshines and outperforms everything else.
Most of these games ended up being good, some of them are not but the soundtracks of all of these are amazing enough to overshadow the games they're in.

Akihiko Mori rocks so hard. if you've got Mystic Ark in here it'd be worth looking into Shien: The Blade Chaser and Z Gundam: Away to the Newtype if you haven't (as well as Gokinjou Bokentai of course, but that goes without saying)

@Funbil
I like everything they have worked on, I've been a fan of them for years and they are one of my favorite game composers, Mystic Ark was easily my favorite from them. I actually did not know that they were involved in something Gundam related (Oh my it's basically just Mystic Ark again I really like this), and Gokinjou Bokentai seems like something special.

I first heard something from A.Mori in Paladins Quest and ever since I associate them with Kohei Tanaka, they often worked together and I collect their albums too.

Thanks for recommending those, I appreciate that I can share my interests and learn more about them in the process, I suggest looking up Lennus ancient machine for some enhanced A.Mori music, the CD for Mystic Ark and Wonder Project also had some midi and orchestra bonus tracks that are great.

@JetWolfDX definitely will!! arrangement CDs like that always fly under my radar. it's cool that they were so common back in the day
Love this. The biggest example of this for me would be Neves for the DS, a kind of honestly bare-bones puzzle game with a soundtrack that has no right to go as hard as it does.

@DizzySkullKid19
True, most DS puzzle games had good soundtrack, I didn't know about that one though. A lot of the DS library is unknown to me. Thanks for sharing

I recommend Honeycomb Beat and Kurupoto Cool Stars for some more basic DS puzzle games with great soundtracks, I forgot to add them until now.
