A decent puzzle game with a unique mechanic of deciphering different languages from symbols. I initially quite enjoyed the process of working out the different words and completing journal pages but honestly it got a little stale by game's end, and I often ended up just guessing until I got the right word to match the picture.

Graphics and music are nice but fairly basic, level design is just ok, nothing too memorable, and sometimes the backtracking through levels became tedious, as there is no map to refer to. Story is kinda vague and half baked; you travel upwards through this giant tower deciphering languages until you get to the top, and then you find out there some big evil computer which you have to shut down and that's the whole game basically. Its a short and sweet 10 or so hours to complete and get the Plat. Other games might have stuffed a bunch of collectables to pad out the game length, so I appreciate they didn't do that. Zero replay value too, its def a one and done experience.

Eh, its pretty good, and worth playing. But seems a little overrated judging by other's reviews on here.

Welp, I'm many years late to the party but I bought this on a whim and its pretty damn good. Addictive as hell and tons of different items and upgrades to mix and match. But Its hard, like very hard, and that's mainly because its unbearably cheap at times. 1 life, no continues. You get one life bar which can get melted away in seconds if you get a bad RNG room. Also, one of the most frustrating things is the random luck of the pickup. You're somehow expected to remember like 300 items and what they all do, which of course is nearly impossible. Spending hard earned coins on an item at the store only to get a bad pill that completely fucks your run is so annoying. The game needed to be a bit better balanced and less cheap deaths. Its still pretty great, but a game like Hades perfected that balance and difficulty perfectly and its hard to go back to this after that masterpiece.

Typical Frogwares Sherlock game. Graphics pretty abysmal, controls and animation, janky AF, voice acting amateurish. But the cases are fun and the puzzles are hard without getting too crazy. I'm just a sucker for a good puzzle game, and I love all things Sherlock (pretty sure I've played every Sherlock game on the PS store now). Bugged trophy meant I'm stuck on 93%, which pisses me off too. Worth a play if you can find it for dirt cheap.
