The biggest thing Control has going for it is its setting. The surreal environments, SCP style lore, and the characters are top notch. Sadly, the gameplay is just generic shooting, albeit it gets a bit more creative. I wish we could have interesting fights against anomalies, but in the end it seems they got afraid to do something really different.
The ending is quite nice thought, i really liked the credits scene. Anyways, mid but funny.

It's a good visual novel, which a great setting and atmosphere, the writting can be on the wrong track sometimes, but you keep coming back for the characters and good dialogues. I feel they needed more resources to perfect this, but im glad it turned out great. This is an amazing game for Digimon and Non Digimon fans alike.
What i really like from the route i got tho, is that it kinda ''reboots'' the franchise in a very nice way. Its not a reboot, but you can feel it.

This game is easily the worst of the SNES SMT games. It has a concept, plot and characters that works very well. But the game design sucks, the dungeons are worst than torture, the negotiation with demons is broken, the game has a ton of bugs like equipaments that vanish out of nowhere, and the guardian system just not works.
I decided to stop after beating Hazama first form with Reiko. I don't want to spend any other second with this game anymore.
And this comes from someone that loves old JRPGs and loved both SMT 1 and 2.

This game is so fucking fun to play

This game over stays its welcome by a LOT. It can be very fun and creative at times, the minigames are hell of fun, but the overall level design and gameplay are kinda boring most of the time. Starfy has a very limited moveset, feels very unresponsive and heavy, which makes much of the platforming a nightmare. The worst part tho is the dialogues, they are too much for a game like this, and it can be fine but i think it should convey information using gameplay elements. The game is beautifull, and very well crafted in many aspects, but its not for me and i ended up dropping it twice.

Probably tied with New Leaf as the best game in the series. The customization options are great, taking care of the island is comfortable and very personal. I could easily spend hundreds of hours alone customizing, exploring, and crafting shit. Also very very fun to play with other people. It only loses to NL really because of the lack of small side contents, but to be fair the game tried to do many new things and im glad for it. I will still play this game for the years to come.

One of my favorites JRPG of the last generation, SMT IV maintains all the essence of a SMT game, but sadly its not as experimental as the early entries in the series.
This did not hurt me, the game is really great, specially the combat and dungeons.

This is a good 3D Mario, with good level design and interesting worlds to explore and complete. The biggest problem is that, exploration ends up redundant. There are too much moons that you just step on sometimes, the clothes and coins dont do anything.
BUT
I really loved this game much more than i thought i would. The music, art style and dumb writting are amazing. I like how the game plays as a silly cartoon, and i really love the trip around the world theme. The music is also superb. Really, a solid game.

Great game, its episodic nature does it very well and it expands very nicely on the franchise.

An incredible powerfull experience. The gameplay is not that great, but the game is really unique and beautifull.

I really liked this game on start, because it has many creative ideas and mechanics. The thing is that it lacks polishment in all of its aspects.
The music in this game sucks, and was very annoying. The excavation mechanics is cool on theory, but the lack of ways to improve it during the game makes it start to get annoying in the end, because you only get money from mining it. This takes us to the next problem: The combat is good, and engaging, but the battles are slow garbage. Theres no way to speed it up, althought you can skip animations, but since the battles GIVE YOU ALMOST NOTHING, they are close to irrelevant, and annoy you. Its a shame, because the combat is very good and cool but you have no reason to battle.
I droped it in the last part, where you have to beat that dude 5 times in a row. The sole reason i droped is because i could not stand any more battle, i have no patience.
Still a good start for the series, the dinosaur designs are accurate while very charming, the plot is fun and the graphics cute. I think you should probably try it.

This one is a true banger. The amazing return to home consoles, great level design and coop mode, its just fun to collect everything and challenge yourself with the stages and bosses. The gimmick is nice and creative too! A great game, loved to play it with friends.

This one disappointed me, comming right after Return to dreamland and expanding on nothing about it. The level design in this one is very poor too.
