This is the best out of the first 3 games. However, I find the job system and certain parts of the game very underwhelming. the jobs themselves aren't very distinct in what they provide and the time you get to actually class change, it's basically at 50/60% mark of the game.

It did bring some conventions in the genre and the dungeons are dramatically better than the previous games. They make actual sense now

If I ignored the gameplay, I think it's a solid narrative esp compared to the games b4 it. Fine Saturday cartoon. From gameplay standpoint, It's kinda bland & not really engaging.

This game is the best game in regards to gameplay pre 8. Class customization with the classes actually being distinct, not just stats. But narratively, a lot of good idea but poor execution esp with dream world thingy.

This has solid game structure, but the gameplay loop really hampers me from rating this well. Nothing interesting in battle outside of party swapping and the spells are kinda boring. but these are series issues.

I can rec this VN, go on ahead and play it!

Fun game except that last stage. That one can go.

I went in expecting a great game, but left w/ less than favorable impression. I don't know how you go from 8, allowing so much freedom in the gameplay department to the slowest atb/progress system ever seen. It so bland, I was very close to watching a letsplay.

This story quite a few good narrative aspects especially with Terra but it like many games w/ big cast, fumbles the bag and it especially prominent at WoR. I was waiting for shit to just end. Let's wrap it up

Top 3 worst ATB implementation I played thru. Don't get me wrong, the narrative is good and I like some of the characters but the game is so slow turn to turn when it comes to bosses esp Seph.

Waiting here playing my thumbs for the next move to come out.

The bosses are the major highlight of this game and where combat shines, all except that final boss. At that point, I wanted to say stagger is good but shouldn't be centered, it should be supplementary.

The general gameplay loop of "side quest life progression" felt awful. 85% of the game was just busy work and real no connective tissue for the series. I get "hey, I want u to engage w/ the world" but barely any side-quest had great stories. I respect the effort tho, this is an idea that could be returned to, but modified. possibly in a self-constrained area instead of 2-3 areas at once.

Music, Cutscenes, and Animations were all great tho.

Bad dungeon design, decent combat and story.
