Sonic Unleashed may not be perfect. I dont believe that something, be it a game or not, can really be perfect, but it has everything I've ever searched for in my favorite franchise. Great level design, graphics, story and character writing.
Talking about the gameplay, Unleashed has a near-perfect boost formula. Keeps it fun, interesting, and with the help of the good level design and soundtrack, the day levels are super fun and engaging with multiple paths and choices. Unleashed being a "World Adventure" adds a lot to the gameplay too, each location has it's own music played with instruments that resemble it's culture and NPCs that talk with Sonic about typical conversation topics in those regions. The night levels are a simple action game, but the HUGE diversity of possible combos allow you to be creative in how to defeat your enemies and exploit them; my only problem with these levels is the werehog theme that gets really repetitive after some time.
The story has one of the best Sonic characterization I've ever seen in the franchise, maybe losing only to Sonic Adventure 2. Sonic is charming, nice, fun to see and is greatly performed by Jason Griffith whose voice perfectly transmits the fun Sonic is having during he's adventure. Nowadays I smile just from listening he's voice.
Chip and Sonic's friendship is well written and it's easily understandable that they become closer and closer with the story.
This game is really really important to me and even with it's obvious flaws, it will always have a special place in my heart. Hopefully we'll get it on pc someday so more people can play it and the performance issues are fixed.

Spyro Reignited Trilogy successfully brought almost all the mechanics from the Playstation 1 Originals to Modern Hardware with the help of the beautiful shading from the Unreal Engine but damn, it could have been so much better...
This game is so buggy and glitchy that I lost count of the times I got glitched. Yes, the glitches helped me sometimes completing levels faster, but also sometimes they screwed an almost perfect run and even broke my save file forcing me to play Spyro 3 all over again (and this is because I found a save file with 1 and 2 already completed since those were also broken).
This game could have used a lot of a patch, not only to fix fix the bugs and glitches on the base game itself, but also to fix the bugs and glitches that are ADDED to the game on top of that, if you're playing over 100 FPS.

2020

While some people may say the story is worse than the first game, in my opinion it's as good as: while not being as personal, it's better in areas the previous entry failed like the villains which are way more memorable and threatning. It's also way more easy to relate, I actually found myself relating to the bullying cases the game tries and does a great job criticizng.
Regarding the gameplay, the combat MAY be the best one we ever got in the series (Yakuza Included) and while I wish some of the side content wasn't DLC, there's still so much content to enjoy. One "nitpick" that bothered me in the previous entry was the lack of the dynamic intros for the boss fights and this game not only solves that but also made them absolute fenomenal, some of the best in the series. The soundtrack is also completely on point.
If you like yakuza you should definitely give a try to this games, they are definitely going great.
9/10

Despite all it's flaws, Pokemon Legends Arceus is putting the franchise in the direction it should be. The gameplay loop is a load of fun, the story is one of the best we've got (despite not being that good but who cares, it's Pokémon) and there is SO MUCH content- I have around 60 hours of playtime and there's still post-game stuff to do that i'll have to come back later to wrap up. The best pokémon game in years.

(I would end the review there, but I just want to leave the note that releasing Scarlet And Violet so close to this game is a terrible decision. Even though Gamefreak is divided in various teams this game is way too big for just an 8 months break)

The "I'm going to race against my cousin in his house" type of game

Persona 5 Royal is the most polished turn-based RPG I've ever played. It fixes all of the major problems I had with Vanilla Persona 5, and even if it is really really easy, I never got bored in the over 150 hours I spent playing it. The game's last arc is wonderfully written, and as expected of a Persona game, the soundtrack is FANTASTIC. Mandatory, even if you already played the original Persona 5

GTA San Andreas is a 2004 game but, believe me, it aged as well as good wine. The world is huge and alive, full of things to do and to explore, and the side missions are extremely fun and rewarding. The gameplay is really complex having a simple but implemented a melee, a huge amount of weapons and incredibly fun RPG elements like Skill level for every type of vehicle, weapon, and even for smaller things like Sex Appeal. The story is great, even if with some flaws here and there, with extremely memorable characters and moments. The soundtrack... I don't even know where to start... it's full of bangers and songs that instantly will remind you of the game just by listening to them. A timeless masterpiece.

The story is predictable from frame 0, the driving is alright but the difficulty sucks. You can easily get 1 km ahead of your enemies even without a great car

Yakuza Like a Dragon presents you with a narrative that can be at the same time serious when it needs to be and damn hilarious when it wants to too. The variety of side content is fenomenal and it'll make you spend hours with things as simple as can collecting on the streets. Truly a fantastic RPG and a good change of formula for the series, which will allow for a lot of great sequels while working on this new formula.
Shout-out to Nancy-chan

While the story is a real mess and the gameplay has seen better days, I can't deny I had a load of fun with it. The 100% is fun and the comedy had me dying sometimes. I just wish some mechanics hadn't aged as badly or were just and were a bit more polished.

A Hat In Time has great platforming mechanics but unfortunately it suffers from some real inconsistencies in the level design, having both masterfuly created levels like Battle of the Birds and Subcon Forest and really crappy/underwhelming ones like The Arctic Cruise and Alpine Skyline. Despite that, it's still a really good game with great music and a simple but really funny story full of great sense of humor. Really worth the try! And play it in co-op if you have the opportunity, it's surprisingly good

I dont know man, something about Toby Fox's games always leaves a smile on my face. So good
