An absolutely phenomenal 2D platformer that completely blew me away with how deep and intricate it is in it's design. An open world game with tons of elements pulled from Metroidvanias, complete with an expanding, evolving world, a wide move-set constantly growing with exciting, powerful new moves, complete with fantastic sprite work, lovely music, and that charming Wario personality.

Ahead of it's time in every way, and an absolutely technical gem for the entire family of Game Boy consoles.

I wouldn't spare a second thought before recommending this one; 100%-ing it is just as fun, too, though if you don't have too much time, a guide might be helpful. I definitely put over 20 hours into this one. Fantastic work from R&D1, and an essential building block to their future in Wario Land 4 and Metroid Fusion.

This was originally going to only be four stars, but seeing Wario say "PERFECT!" at the end convinced me it deserved a little more than that.

A really fun game, this is a Wario game, through and through. Building off the first entry in the now series, Wario's unique character and quirk evolves into it's own ecstatic gameplay style that's a ton of fun and carries a lot of re=playability to get through all of it's treasures and all of it's unique endings.
