Really intriguing story, I enjoyed the whole thing as it was a super enjoyable visual novel that gives off the same vibe and feeling as fate/stay night and tsukihime did prior. I recommend this to anyone, it's straight up just a good story.

This psychological horror visual novel is something like no other, the eldritch horrors it presents with the love-esque story it gives makes it stand out compared to any other story I have read. Going through this multiple times was an experience I wish I could have for the first time again, I implore anyone going to play this to enter as blind as possible. It is absolutely worth it.

Unbelievably vulgar game, what a staple. I had more fun than I expected from a game like this, and while it was fairly short it was still a very enjoyable offensive experience. Definitely recommend.

Incredibly fun platformer that focuses mainly on tight skill, so I absolutely took a long time beating it. It never fell or got boring, it was simply fun through and through and I can easily recommend it especially to people who like platformers.

This has to be one of the dumbest FPS games I have ever played and I hold zero nostalgia for it, but I definitely like it for all the wrong reasons. Vast open zones that are undeniably far too big, guns that feel fine most of the time but don't help as much as you'd want when you're trapped in literally seconds by an unbelievably massive horde. This game is a staple of its time and teaches all the lessons that nobody should take, but I can't lie it is pretty fun to play.

This game is really good, definitely made by people who knew what they were doing. Rather than focusing on a big number of maps, each map was huge, which is fairly different. The weapons are pretty good, nothing really special to talk about but fun to use nonetheless. However, all weapons are introduced by the second episode so the only new things getting introduced are the enemies and the maps. This was worth playing, I do recommend this game, but it feels like it took too long and the final battle took ages to beat.

I don't hate this game, but I easily prefer Doom 1 and 2 to it. The map design isn't bad but so many maps are painfully long when I just want to get it over with, but there are some notable maps that are just good and lengthed well like The Spiral. Pretty good game but I wouldn't recommend it.

This game defines itself as a "good enough" boomer shooter. I do not like how sometimes the enemies get stunned and lock on 1HP when they should have died, which isn't rewarded by a glory kill but you're meant to slash when you could also just headshot, and it just feels like it simply shouldn't even be there to begin with. The enemies are fine, the map design is good, and the game is fun but it doesn't feel like it works right together, especially with the guns. The dual-wield pistol is my favorite but eventually it just becomes weak, the shotgun is fine but it doesn't work when the game demands you to get headshots, so you need to be far too close for comfort. The uzis, or whatever they're called, have spread and I barely used them because they do. The grenade launcher works fine but for some reason it is way too weak and doesn't feel satisfying at all to use against what is supposed to be lower-tier enemies to mechs. The laser cannon requires you to be too precise and you'll surely miss way more than you want to. The chaingun is really, really strong but it hinders your movement greatly which is far from recommended. The rocket launcher is an absolute sin, requiring mid range or else it kills you if too close or scatters all around when too far. The story is there, the game reminds me much of Ghostrunner, but while it is a fun game I don't recommend it unless you can get it for cheap, since it is a very short game.

Great platformer, full of charm and was as simple as it gets. I really like this game, undoubtedly, but there are some things it could have done better as so many levels are simply forgettable for me. The difficult parts took ages, but were worth it, especially the final level. This is worth playing, especially with friends.

This game is great, truly. The difficulty curve is insane compared to other classic FPS games, I do not recommend playing this on Extra Crispy at all since it just becomes so hard it isn't fun. I played it on Well Done, and it's really an experience. Episodes 1, 2, and 4 were amazing, creative maps that fit and play very well. Episode 3 I'm personally mixed on, it felt way too long though I still very much enjoyed it. The weapons and enemies forced me to play differently compared to other usual FPS games, and I love the way it was done. This is a staple, and a must play for boomer shooter fans.

2018

Dusk is a game that takes all the right lessons from horror-esque games like it, like Blood or Doom. Through and through it was a fantastic experience that constantly surprised me with how it presented itself. No hitscans exist, easter eggs are wildly fun, and playing on Cero Miedo truly got my adrenaline rushing, even when I started dying multiple times by the final levels. The horror part of it really got to me as well, trying to make me feel scared and brave at the same time like I'm an idiot who isn't supposed to rush in yet I do anyways. This is undeniably a must play, especially for massive boomer shooter fans.

Words cannot explain the insane adrenaline this game gives me, and I'd never believe that anything is able to top Doom Eternal in terms of game-play. This game is undeniably of the most unique FPS games after the release of Doom Eternal, giving more action and platforming. While I'd argue that Doom Eternal would focus on "strength", Ultrakill would focus on "speed". This game feels like it's filling in what others are missing, reaching the high stages of pure adrenaline that many could barely even scratch. There are flaws as every game usually has, but I can barely even think of any. The game feels like playing drums, easy to grasp but hard to master. Any mastery of a weapon given in the game feels almost too natural, giving incredible fluidity and allowing you to play the game even faster. In fact, the game incentivizes you to play fast by saving your time and letting you fly around as much as you'd like. The weapons are simple but all are relevant, each giving their unique way of use that makes every single mod extremely important to use in battle. Every new unlock has led to me testing around until it quickly clicks. The levels have been designed in a simple yet genius way that warrants playing it two or three times, with well hidden secrets and a challenge that ranges from a secret encounter to avoiding water in a mostly water stage. The enemies are great, evolving from basic zombies and peashooters to monsters of pure killing intent forcing you to constantly strategize on how to use the arena around you to your advantage. Rather than the Doom Slayer's greatest ally being his weapons, V1's greatest ally has to be the area around him as he would ultimately use it against the given enemy, there is always some advantage. The bosses are spectacular, even the secret bosses. They, as usual bosses do, give a pattern, however they feel perfect as bosses, all the while the secret bosses are unbelievably difficult with tight patterns. The bosses show exactly how quickly you're able to use your arsenal and the arena to your advantage, not only gaining pure adrenaline, but receiving what is undeniably a spectacular show if anyone was watching. This is one of my strongest recommendations and it isn't even finished yet, play this game!

(REVIEW SUBJECT TO CHANGE ONCE GAME IS FINISHED)

This game is insanely good for what it’s meant to be, to tell a simple story in such a roundabout way that I’ve seen be done before, but never this consistently. The finale was very similar to MGS2’s, where it throws a million things right by the end. This game is a must play, whether you can play it on the DS or any modern console.

I cannot get myself to hate this game. However, this game has overstated its existence. This has absolutely improved over Breath of the Wild but not to the point I'd warrant such a sequel. The mechanics are fun and have so much potential but it feels as if it just ended up getting wasted over this game. They're creative enough to ensure freedom, but they're limiting enough for me to want as little to do with them unless I'm given the materials. From that, it feels as if it hits that terrible goldilocks zone of being the worst of both worlds. The puzzles are something to talk about as well, and the game's mechanics make it so that the puzzles are extremely difficult to make good. Only 2/5 dungeons are good and the rest are very forgettable, and the shrines can be cheesed very easily if one chooses to. The same map makes it far worse even if it feels new, as the sky has little and the depths also barely have anything. An open world game gets tiring, reusing it makes the game itself tired out. If this game released instead of Breath of the Wild, then I would have easily loved it. Play this game only if you haven't playing Breath of the Wild.

This is one of the worst games I have ever played, there is clearly only one selling point for it. The gameplay is atrocious, it doesn't feel fun to play with at all and it gets repetitive literally by the second race. The story does not exist and that automatically makes the already annoying characters boring to listen talk about the next thing that will happen in the most boring way possible. Nothing about this game is good, except maybe the fact that it could run decently on any computer.
