Great visuals for the majority of the game, awesome storyline. I found the game really peaceful and I got really engaged in everything it had to offer and the OST topped every other game I have played to date.

When a game is clearly built around the idea that it is meant to be played as a couch co-op, it makes it very hard to comment on it as someone who played through the majority of the game solo. This game is likely up there as one of the best 2d Mario experiences when you have people to play with, but as a solo player it feels unbelievably empty. All this being said, Nintendo rarely miss the mark with their Mario games and this game was still enjoyable enough as an entry into their 2d Mario series.

This game had the most immersive storyline of any game I've played to date. The emotion and suspense this game provided was absolutely jaw-dropping. I don't think I've ever come so close to crying at a video game as I did with this final cut scene.

Pokemon Shield was far from well received in the Pokemon franchise. For me it was fairly enjoyable. It had a very slow start with a very low barrier to entry and very little difficulty, but didn't hesitate to throw you the occasional curveball. The entry as a whole is likely over-hated, however, the ending to the game feels extremely dragged out and I personally feel as though the developers could've done a better job with structuring.

Mario Kart Wii is unique. it introduced the option for motion controls which for a lot of players really added something to the game. The original maps in this game are incredible and feel right for the controls. The remastered maps are a great fit too. The game was one of the more difficult in the Mario Kart series and made for a lot of fun and struggle when working to unlock all the characters and karts.

In my opinion this is the best 2D mario game. It added tonnes to the series and innovated so much from previous entries. The entry introduced so many new ideas that have withstood the test of time.

Pokemon Platinum was the first Pokemon game that I played and it truly means a lot to me. Game Freak hit every nail possible on the head with this game. Off the back of Diamond and Pearl, which weren't received too well, it was interesting to see how they would approach their next addition to the franchise and they didn't just fix Diamond and Pearl with this masterpiece, they made a game so good I will argue it can be enjoyed by all ages at any point in time.

Pokemon HeartGold may controversially be the only decent remake of a Pokemon game to date. This game nailed every bit of charm the original game had and added to it in abundance, the way any remake should. For developers building remakes and remastered versions of their titles this is the aspiration, this is the aim and when a game is truly cared about, this is the result.

I've always loved FPS games and Farming sims, so when i saw this game i had to try it and it didn't miss one bit. I had an absolute blast building up my empire of slimes, playing about with the gadgets and becoming a millionaire on the Plort Market.

Daxter was an awesome addition to the famous Jak and Daxter series. Daxter the ottsel was hilarious throughout the story and had so much personality, adding tonnes to the game. The platforming in this game was amazing for it's time and still holds up really well. For the target audience, it can present some genuine difficulty and feel extremely rewarding to overcome its challenges with its charming ps2 style cut scenes that guide you through your journey.

This game is THE Co-op game. If you have a good friend or partner who also hasn't played this game it's absolutely 'must play'. It will undoubtedly have you couched up for ages working cooperatively with your Cody/May to solve all the awesome puzzles this game has to offer.
