This is the review of the entire Question Arcs.

Without love, it cannot be seen

I don't even know where to start...

Umineko has been on my radar for quite a while. Always at the most well ranked in game lists, a lot of good reviews and people i follow that claim it to be a masterpiece. But, the very long playtime always scared me because "it's a novel so i can't spent dozens of hours just reading, thats insane". I know i probably spent more time than this in text heavy jrpgs like persona or ffxiv, but i at least played something.

Than, a day I made a bet with a friend so I would read Higurashi and him Umineko, so we could explore this world of When They Cry and discover if it is all that. Of course, I am a game maniac, so i finished Higurashi before he even read 1 hour of Umineko and now i finished the Question Arcs.

Finally, the famous Umineko, did it live up the hype? Of course it did. Reading Ryukishi's first work in Higurashi and seeing now his universe being expanded is a really good feeling. I could see how much he grown as an author, and where he really shines. I will not lie that the first and second chapters of Question Arcs leave a lot to be desired, but the third and fourth made all that reading worth it.

I don't know how much more suffering i will have to endure next at the Answer Arcs (actually i know: A LOT), but I will be there and I am the one who will be crying, damn all these seagulls.

Just a quick note: Please, if you can, read Higurashi first, and all its universe like the manga sequel and extra chapter Rei. The experience will be far greater, trust me. It will be bad without it? Definitely not, but will sure enhance your experience, and not spoil A LOT of things from the previous series for you.

A complete masterpiece! The best chapter of the Umineko Question Arcs, and maybe the best one of the entire When They Cry (until another from answer comes).

There is only the highest of what he can write of the lore, the mistery, the characters (holy shit the characters), the atmosphere...

The ending question arcs deserved, and now GIVE ME ANSWERS PLEASE!!!

Featuring "Imagine if your friends played the game you like: part 3" from Marl's Review Series.

"Who can we pray to? There are only demons and fiends here."

The probably most famous SMT entry, and well deserved that praise.
First of all, i must say i am a little dissapointed because i thought this game was gonna kick my ass, and it did not. It's not easy, but it's not hard either. For me is the same degree of difficulty of every other Atlus game that are not persona (even persona is harder at some points). That's a bad thing? No, but i was hoping for more after hearing so much. You will become stronger very early and if the boss it's not immune to physical, you will destroy it very easily.

Other than that i really found the story to be lacking, much of the game it's just you and that's it, characters are completely whatever and i tend to like a little more than that in storylines. The demons interactions are still amazing though.

Okay, no more cons. THE ATMOSPHERE IS SO COOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL. The edgy boy inside of me was having a blast. Walking around, fighting fiends, feeling the air, everything was so immersive. I did the True Demon Ending so i explored the entire map (i hope i did) and was a fullfiling experience.

SMT still alive and kicking, let's go kill demons Demi.

2020

Imagine if your friends played the game you like: part 2.

I'm incapable of getting good at this game.

It's not a genre I like, but it's really impressive how much physics and interactions you can have with the environment.

As always, stay hydrated.

Amazing roleplay sandbox experience, a little bit too much grinding but yeah, its a game about that lol.

I never mined that much in a game after minecraft...

Okay, we are doing fine... oh that's a nice plot... hey it's getting very good... why am i crying...? Ryukishi you really did it huh... WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT???

As you can see i had almost every kind of emotion a human being can feel and i am at the episode 3. I was humiliated, i will destroy you Ryukishi, i will win this game!

DAMN IT WHY IS IT SO FREAKING GOOD???

Imagine if your friends played the game you like.

Aesthetically wonderful, immersive OST, and a full deep and complex storyline not made for those weak to reading what is beyond of the text.

Did you think i was not going to use the catch phrase? F#$% OFF
KILL THE PAST

After twelve attempts, i finally survived more than 15min before uninstalling and a find a cool game to listen to my podcasts.

I finally get to act 8, saw that i was doing the same thing over 5 hours, became bored and now i am here.

Cool game, if you don't become overwhelmed by it, maybe you will find fun.

YOU SHALL BE AS GODS!!!

I don't think after these many years of discussion i can add something there was already been said about this game.

Xenogears is not a perfect game, yet it is a masterpiece. Considering the low budget and the ambitious task, Takahashi and his team made the best they could.

Now i will watch videos about the lore because i love how rich and deep it is.

A filler quest simulator with an amazing ending and spectacular charismatic protagonist, it is really a crisis in the core.

Play it only if you played the original FFVII, not the remake, or some very important plot moments from the original will be spoiled for you.

This chapter was the hardest for me to finish, i don't know why because i like it a lot.

There is a lot going on now and i feel Ryukishi is trying to bait me in so many directions that i lost my sense of self.

"Without love, it cannot be seen"

Holy shit now the game is hard lol.

Amazing expansion, fun new mechanics for the weapons and the new fights are very hard. Loved my personal hotsprings in my room.

Now let's grind until my LeftShift finger break!

My first monster hunter and now i know how amazing the appeal to fight big monsters is.

There is almost no reason to talk about story because clearly is not their focus, yet, the lore is spectacular. How engaging is to know about the biology and behavior of the species and all the world of monster hunter.

The monsters destroy entire ecosystems and cause a huge environmental imbalance, so KILL THEM ALL WITHOUT REMORSE!

I forgot to make a review lol...

Okay, Persona 2 is the best persona? No. It has the best story? Yes? Probably? The ending is pretty good and overall i liked both story and of course the characters were amazing.

The game itself is a very good step foward from the disastrous gameplay from P1, still has some issues for me like i dont like how burocratic the combat is, and the game is without doubt the easiest turn based i ever played. The first half i only used the initial personas and after that their ultimates. Both doing the same amount of damage.

Now to finish Eternal Punishment and complete the persona series for good.

I am glad that Reload exists, but i am a little disappointed that they miss an oportunity by playing too much safe.

Reload is almost, actually is basically entirely 1:1 to the original, with very small but cool changes, like new social episodes with the male cast from the party and some group activities, which are so good that shows how much bad the social links were.

The game is far better to play, it was the thing i hated the most while playing FES. Tartarus is better, but still garbage, sorry. Besides the combat being fun now, there is almost nothing more to be glad when returning to climb up the +200 floors...

Revisiting the social links and doing all of them showed me how bad and boring most of them were. Akinari (Sun) still the best social link in the modern personas, but the rest of them are so hard to care. Thank god they are now full voice acted, i love it, please Atlus continue this. Praise to the english voice actress of Yuko! And all of the others of course.

Besides that, there is nothing more to talk about reload because i already said it is almost 1:1 to the original. My least favorite persona for a lot of motives, it is not the definitive version we wanted (for now, because we probably will receive an Answer DLC), but it is a game that i would now recommend instead of FES.

Yet, it is a persona game and i love this shit...
