best 2d platformer ever designed probs 🤑

Very enjoyable story and a great cast of characters, some of which are sadly underutilized or not expanded upon, which results in the game focusing on two to three characters for long stretches of time which gets slightly stale after a while.

Weird game. The stripping of classic features and subsequent drip-feed of them was strange. By the end it still felt sorta incomplete. Game is pretty interesting for the first couple months, but gets repetitive and manages to lose you really easily. Not a horrible game, but definitely the weakest in the series.

Picross is based. This is a very solid version of picross and the start of Jupiter's e series on 3ds. Has a nice, simple aesthetic and it controls really well, but is strangely missing features such as row/column counter, highlighting tiles, bgm change, and some other miscellaneous visual settings. This is weird considering Jupiter's picross game on ds had several of these things. On the topic of the puzzles themselves, they're very solid, but my one gripe would be that their difficulty seems to oscillate between fairly easy and extremely difficult within level sets. Overall very standard picross experience. Should have more stuff but this should be a good baseline for any picross game. Highly recommended if you love the genre.

God's beautiful gift upon our blue orb.

Very nice for what it was trying to be. Gets full points for charm and aesthetics but unfortunately suffers from some janky controls and ai, something which the series really improved on later down the line. This doesn't render the game obsolete though, as it's a short and sweet experience worth going through. Personally I'm a fan of the time limit, which I think lends itself well to the gameplay concept and theme, but I can see why it's often criticised as stressful.

Can be a very fun experience when played with friends on Zero Build, but slightly depressing when on your own.
