My 1000th Rating special

Playing shmups for few weeks because I missed the genre and I always want to get into more interesting titles. Ikaruga is one of the most well-known ones, so I saved it for a special event. And wow, this is so good. I still think Radiant Silvergun is a better game, but the dark/light switch feature makes it very addictive, has tons of unlockables and features, and it has actually story-telling unlike most of the shmups (not that I care for arcade styled games but hey I like attention to detail). Tough game too, not like some inhumanly difficult like Touhou shit, but damn it kicked my ass.

A bit overrated in my book but the RPG element spice things up and make the game less repetitive, unlike most beat em ups. Fun beat em up to chill with friends but I prefer 16-bit era capcom beat em ups for sure

Greatest local multiplayer game I've ever played. The game is ridiculously simple in concept but it's so deep and so much to learn. Can be played competitively or casually. You can play with your normie friend without giving anxiety to him. Map designs are so cool and there is so much to do with all those Rule Variants and Custom maps. Can't believe I'm saying that but its better than Smash. it lacks online multiplayer or meaningful singleplayer content sadly, the only reason i cant give a 10

Interesting concept. I loved the atmosphere and hub-level design on "Mombasa Streets" levels and System Shock style Audiologs but rest of the game is just a decent mixture of stereotypical Halo gameplay but mostly its just good -not great-. I liked no armor approach and i loved the characters a lot (even more than reach). This is just decent halo game with some experimental features. Loved the soundtrack a lot btw

First amazing Halo game IMO. Great story, fun sandbox levels, great weapons variety, a great way to cap the Trilogy story-wise. AI was also a huge improvement, even flood is pretty good. From the start to finish, it has a consistent campaign. Even mostly disliked "Cortana" was a decent level in my book. The soundtrack, Presentation, and Graphics are also hugely improved because of the new console generation and even higher budget and time to spend on this game.

Only negative thing i can say about the campaign is that its way too short and although its consistent, the peaks arent that high imo, Reach's Top 5 levels are better than pretty much every Halo 3 level in my book. Also it's way too much military-focused. I've missed having an adventure, exploring some beautiful landscapes. I guess they want to just finish the trilogy and made the game very focused on the war but idk.

Halo 3 is so much fun. After finishing this i realized at Xbox 360 era, Halo finally become a great franchise. Yes Halo CE was a good first step and Halo 2 was revolutionary in terms of multiplayer but Halo 3 was a console seller. It's as good as most great Console Exclusive franchises at the time. Haven't played multiplayer yet so gonna update after i spend few days with multiplayer

Campaign: 8/10
Multiplayer: 8.5/10

Halo 2 was a huge improvement. It has better graphics, soundtrack, presentation, multiplayer, and campaign. Lots of my issues with CE have fixed with this one. New enemy types finally make the game more strategic, playing as two different sides of war makes the game's story more thoughtful and increases weapon variety. Dual-wielding makes shitty small weapons somewhat useful. Levels are not recycled and landscapes are more diverse. Anniversary edition is gorgeous. CE also has anniversary edition but it doesn't look this good. Amazingly well-done PC remaster.

I hate one thing about this game and that is, it's way too linear. It's linear in a boring way. I love lots of linear FPS games but this just so closed down and uninteresting. Where are all the big and open levels from the first game go? Delta Halo and Regret have some kind of sandbox elements but damn half of the campaign levels have that long as fuck hold-out levels that you wait in a room or elevator and kill every enemy coming your way.

Overall its a better and more linear version of CE. Besides its design flaws, it is a very good game.

Gotta say first that ive played original before but beaten MCC version (constantly switched to original version to compare) . Game definitely had problems: Uninteresting weapons, limited enemy variety, repetitive level design, (some are copy-pasted). Rather than having meaningful hard sections, It only gets difficult when games throw dozens of same enemy types. I couldn't take any enemy seriously.

It has its highlights tho, and it comes from levels like "silent cartographer", games lets you roam in a hub-area freely, and let you use vehicles. Vehicle gameplay was so good for its era. Multiplayer also was very good for 2001 console fps. This game's biggest strength was presentation tho, you can smell high quality on every cut-scene, silent storytelling in maps was excellent. Soundtrack was pretty good too

But comparing the FPS games at that era, its just very well polished mediocre game

A game that shows lots of promise. Has an incredible atmosphere, decent gunplay, cool survival/ammo management mechanics, great visuals. It has three problems IMO: It is way too linear, It lacks diversity, and third and the biggest issue: It's just "too cinematic". Lots of in-game pauses for dialog, the game won't let you do things and completely takes the player's freedom. Sometimes I'm having so much fun with this and getting invested in the atmosphere but whoops another cutscene time. Overall its a fine game that has a great basis, could've been perfected on future releases

Peaks of this (First half and plane stages) is the best of the Uncharted trilogy, but the second-half feels so rushed and the ending is underwhelming. I like character interactions and overall visuals on this one a lot but sadly isn't very consistent. Never get story complaints on this one tho, uncharted 2's story was also just a dumb blockbuster action movie story and it was fun. This is as good as Uncharted 2 but I like 2 more because it's more consistent.

After finishing the original Halo and didn't find it very good, I have low expectations on this one (skipped halo 2 and 3). Gotta say it was a pleasant surprise, it definitely improves on the original one so much.

First of all, boring corridor sections are gone, levels are more open. Levels are more diverse, no more backtracking (besides one level but honestly don't mind it). The number of Sandbox levels is increased, you can now roam around more freely. Vehicular combat is perfect, even kinda lackluster space combat sections are so much fun. Combat is also improved a bit, new armor abilities and weapons are welcome additions.

Some parts of game design still have problems tho, combat is way too easy (even on legendary mode). Enemies are just mostly minions that you couldn't care about. Honestly get bored of combat too many times at some parts.

The game's biggest strength is still the presentation tho, sound design and soundtrack are amazing. The graphics are gorgeous. Storytelling and cutscenes are superb and the whole story of the Noble team is so great. Also, love the customization system of this game, the Multiplayer is also amazing (not as good as halo 3 but amazing).

Overall, a Great game and fun campaign. Going to play Halo 2 later, definitely

Crazy to think you could play Red Dead Redemption clone on PSP. Technical miracle

Hard game to rate. Got one of the best skill check systems in modern RPGs and Dialog options are superb but besides this incredible feats it is just a decent CRPG. Honestly couldn't care about the game and its mediocre story and characters but i applaud systems it uses

I also find it ridiculously overrated. Fact that people can call this masterpiece or one of the greatest crpgs of all-time is hilarious. I get that great modern crpgs are rare and mostly just fantasy and doesnt have the philosophical and political topics as much as this game but this is just a decent game
