Liked this as a child but it doesn't hold up to my memories at all. Pretty bad compared to other platformers on the GBC. Annoying soundtrack, repetitve gameplay and really lazy level design but it has its charm. Also over in an hour. Still had some fun with it!

One of my favorites as a child and it still holds up really well. Gorgeous graphics and a lot of variety in the level design. And the most important thing for a platformer: very fluid controls, spot on. Had a great time replaying this and can't wait to try the other Sparkster games that I never played before.

One of the best games I've ever played and I've hardly found anything that impressed me with recent gaming releases.

A wonderfully crafted adventure from start to finish. Interesting characters with great voice acting, a huge world with endless possibilites and super fun combat. It's super high quality and perfectly fleshed out, a new standard for RPGs and it will easily become a classic. Also enjoyable for CRPG fans but easily accessible for newcomers of the genre.

It still has quite a few bugs even half a year later though but Larian constantly releases updates to address this, so the game is in good hands.

I played through it 3 times already and also collected every achievement which means a lot since I usually don't replay games unless a lot of time has passed. A must play!

Very impressive graphics for the Master System era and a fun little version of Aladdin albeit probably the worst one of the console releases. Platforming doesn't feel as smooth as in the other versions but this one does the best job at telling the story and really captures the feel of the movie!

I grew up with the Mega Drive version and I only knew this version from videos on Youtube before. A completely different game of course, extremely different in its gameplay too. Since I always loved the Mega Drive version, I also always thought that it was the superior one. Now I'm not so sure!

This one is actually super fun and the gameplay mechanics work really well. I also really dig the look. If I had to pick a favorite now it would probably be the SNES version but I love them both!

This game was a lot better in my memories than it actually is. I loved it as a child. Sadly it doesn't hold up very well.
It's still very charming and I enjoyed playing through it again. The idea of exploring these different dream worlds is great and makes for a lot of variety. I also really like Nitecap and Threadbear as the villains.

However the gameplay is very lackluster compared to some other 3D platformers of the time. The hit boxes are awful and jumping doesn't feel very precise. Level design also varies a lot in quality, the underwater levels are annoying.

A fun game but ultimately just okay. Only worth playing if you grew up with it as a child.

This is the version of Aladdin I grew up with and it was always my favorite. Now that I also playe the SNES version I actually have to admit that that one is more fun.

I still really like the Mega Drive version, the graphics are absolutely beautiful for a Mega Drive game and the sword play in this one is really fun but the platforming is where it's a little big lackluster. Doesn't feel nearly as good as on the SNES version. I will still always have very fond memories of this game and it's definitely still worth playing!

I've never really been into the Zelda series but now I decided to play them all and start from the beginning!

This one I actually owned as a child as the GBA version but I never played it a lot and didn't make it very far, so this was my first time actually completing it.

It was actually very fun. Still very rough around the edges but it already had a lot of the fundamentals that made this series so successful. Exploring the dungeons is really fun and the iconic soundtrack is very catching although somewhat repetitve because there aren't a lot of different tracks in this.

I enjoyed it more than I expected and am looking forward to the more fleshed out entries in the series.

Not sure why I actually played this, I kinda picked a random game.

Well, it's not very good. Extremely repetitve levels and enemies. The gameplay is really boring and uninspired. Collecting the dogs isn't any fun as it always requires some backtracking in levels that are already way too simple to begin with.

Unfortunately it's hard to say anything positive about this as the graphics are super ugly as well and the music is just annoying. Oh, and the difficulty is just super easy. But I guess it's a kids game, so that's alright.

At least the platforming feels responsive and fluid!

Ugh, I didn't like it at all. Not sure why I actually finished it.

I realize that it's just a little game made by a single person and also very cheap, so I didn't expect a lot. But I at least expected to have some simple fun. I didn't.

Guess it just wasn't for me. I never got into the gameplay and it's also really ugly although it at least has a very unique look to it. You just do the same thing all the time in levels that look the same all the time.

Considered to be the black sheep of the series, I actually liked a lot of aspects about it.

The side scrolling parts are actually very fun and I love the RPG elements with collecting XP, leveling up and distributing stats. I wish more of these elements were present in future Zelda games.

The biggest issue for me is the difficulty. I don't mind challenging games at all but this one is just unfair. It's so unfair that it actually ruins the fun. A lot of the enemies are just atrocious and this would actually be a good Zelda game with better enemy design. Soundtrack is also a downgrade from the first one.

However I still enjoyed playing it even though it was very frustrating. There were a lot of things to hate but also many to like. Better than I expected it to be with the reputation it has.


A good game watered down by a lot of issues.

At its core it's a classic Resident Evil game with everything you'd expect from it. And it's good at that!
However a lot of stupid design choices kinda ruin the fun.
The main issue is the inventory. You have two inventories since you control two characters but they are absolutely tiny and you'll constantly have to drop items and come back later to pick them up again when you have space. To make it worse, there is no item box in this game. You can't store your items anywhere, so you'll have to drop them, remember where you dropped them and do a lot of backtracking when you need them again. This is just annoying and doesn't add anything to the game whatsoever.

You'll also constantly be switching locations and rooms and everytime you do that, there'll be a loading screen/cutscene with you opening the door, climbing up stairs etc. This gets annoying really quickly as you are changing locations a lot and the loading screen is a lot longer than necessary. I don't mind that for the original Gamecube version but there is no need for it in a 2016 PC game. Luckily there are mods on PC to solve this issue (and also the inventory problem as there is an item box mod!).

Gameplay also feels dated, especially the shooting mechanics but that's okay, it's just a remasted version after all and although it's dated, the gameplay still makes a lot of fun.

All in all it's definitely worth playing if you are a Resident Evil fan or just want to explore the beginning of the story. If you are new to the franchise and want to play one of the best Resident Evil games, this is not it.


Loved this when I was a child and still enjoyed it a lot now but it has some issues that I can't ignore.

I'm a big fan of Gex as a character and I actually enjoy all the references and his silly one liners. Level design is good and I really like the themes. However, there could be more variety since a lot of the themes repeat themselves too often. My biggest problem is the camera though. They didn't manage to get that right at all, it's always in the wrong place and some passages get unnecessarily hard just because you can't see anything although this is a fairly easy game in general. It actually gets so annoying that it really reduces the fun a lot and the worst thing is the stupid sound everytime you try to move the camera in a place where it is stuck. Ugh.

I still think the average rating on Backloggd is too low, Gex deserves some love and these issues could easily be fixed with a well done remake.

I just finished it with every DLC played and 100% completion and absolutely loved it. I'm a huge Dragon Ball fan and this is definitely the best way to play through the whole story, told with much detail and love.

Combat is insanely fun and I couldn't get enough of it and it also looks really good (except the environment). The enjoyment I got out of this game was huge and I hope we'll get something similiar in the future.

I still can't rate it higher than 4 stars since it does have some annoying issues that I can't overlook. Everything connected to the main story is awesome but the side quests are badly designed with uninspired, boring little stories and tasks that just repeat themselves over and over, like collecting materials, going fishing and fighting the same stupid skull robots over and over. The open world is also rather dull and doesn't have anything great to explore and enemies that you encounter while exploring are always the same with little variety.

The DLCs also aren't worth it. Most of them have little content considering how expensive they are and the two Power Awakens DLCs actually kinda break the game if you play them before you finished everything in the main game since you will be waaay overleveled. However, the DLCs are still fun. The main quests are well done and they have some really epic moments. Especially the Bardock DLC was great. They do have the same issue as the main game though, all the side quest are horrible.

And still with all that criticism I had a great time and spent as much time as I could in this game. Would definitely recommend it for every Dragon Ball fan.

I really enjoyed playing it and it got me hooked pretty quickly. Being a fan of horror movies myself, I had a very good time with it. The acting is great and they do a very good job of introducing the characters and actually give them a lot of depth. However, all of that never really plays out. They build up a lot of relationships between the characters only for them to lead nowhere. The further you get into the game, the more it feels rushed. I also hated how characters sometimes died for the stupidest reasons, you'll almost certainly lose some characters for dumb reasons if you go in blind. It still does a great job of keeping you hooked and engaged but the disappointment will hit you at the end. The ending is terrible and makes the whole experience feel a lot worse. The game just...ends. There is no real conclusion for the characters, no pay off, just a summary of who survived and a very annoying podcast that summarizes what happened during the credits. The plot was actually not that bad but without a real epilogue and such a rushed ending I actually lost all desire to do another playthrough. Initially I planned to play through it multiple times and get all achievements, I guess I won't do that now.
