Games a work of art. If Michelangelo was contacted by game developers who said 'do that sistine thing again but make it about a hobo communist cop" and he said "oui" or whatever the fuck, it would be disco elysium

The art: GORGEOUS
The Soundtrack: SENSATIONAL
The characters: KIM I LOVE YOU PLEASE DONT BE MAD AT ME IM TRYING TO HARD I JUST WANT YOU TO BE PROUD OF ME KIM PLEASE
The themes: really............really heavy dude

\\\\\\\\\\SPOILERS /////////////////

Harry and Kim sitting down in front of Harry's crashed car, sinking into the ice, reflecting on what a failure harry was, was some of the most emotional, hard hitting, and beautiful shit i have ever seen in a video game, or anyewhere else

I hate to admit it but, having replayed a lot of the lego game recently they CANNOT hold my attention. Then again im a 21 year old. Games are still the PERFECT kids game

The nemesis system is revolutionary. Honestly surprised i havent seen more games use it since

The way that the orc enemies in this game remember you, quarral with each other, fight with you, betray you, interact with the world, makes this such a unique game, despite its third person stealth based open world appearance

Fun combat, exciting world, great experience

This game has a lot going for it. Obsidian write a great story, as per usual, it's a fun world and has a genuinely fantastic art direction.

The combat really sucks though.

Despite the current climate of "open world partly stealth third person action rpg collectathons" this game manages to be all of that, but also possess a certain something that makes it a LARGEE cut above the rest.

The story is wonderful. Far from ground breaking but it's a samurai epic, and it's been a long time since a game has tried to be one of those. Reminiscant of samurai cinema of the 50s (i think?) It's about honour, sacrifice, blood, and sake.

The combat is fluid, engaging, and on the higher difficulties manages to remain hard all the way until the end, even with the myriad of gadgets you accrue over the course of the story .

It's funny, it's stylish, its crazy polished, and sometimes, extremey emotional

It's fantastic.

This game is a TREAT.
Trippy, exciting, fun, great action, awesome world building, the dude who voiced max payne is in it, it has it all
A huge loveletter to the SCP Foundation, twin peaks, the x files, every good thing ever

I would give it a 4.5 if it didn't run like SHIT on ps4.

Call of duty knows what it's doing. Does everything it intends to do.

It's hard for me to rate this because it was a LONG time ago that i played it, i don't remember it exactly, but it was super exciting, very charming, a wonderful beautiful game

i can't prove it tho

Semi-isometric action hack and slash has gone the way of the dodo. It just......it doesnt work anymore. This is a high tier one of those games though

PC port is absolutely cancer and it hasn't aged well.

fuck its dope though

If this game was replayable, it would be your perfect game.

This "heart of darkness" epic is to this day the only game that i've played thats properly managed a drastic thematic shift that has worked THIS well.

The first, few hours, end up being a wonderfully generic military shooter, and then it gets..........good.

This game is beautiful. Truely, truely beautiful.

A wonderful experience. Breathtaking.

A wonderful story about life, death, family, and the coolest house you have ever seen.

An empty house, a lonely girl, and an important story.

Gone Home is superb
