I absolutely fell in love with this game. I'm not a guy who picks up the new games as they come out, but Persona 5 was always on my radar. After finally releasing on PC, I ended up snagging it on a sale and started playing it. I couldn't get enough of it, its up there as one of my favorites. I loved the characters, the story was really well done, and the combat system was really fun to play around with. I absolutely loved the palaces and the puzzles they introduced. They nailed the concept of keeping things fresh, the moment a palace mechanic started to get stale, they change things up. I absolutely loved the game from start to finish, but I did have a few issues that range from mildly annoying to frustrating.

(A bit of a spoiler warning ahead)

While the keyboard controls worked pretty well, they definitely aren't perfect. All the overworld and menus both in and out of combat worked very well, but the sneaking around and ambushing felt really clunky when transitioning to keyboard controls. That was really the only issue, clunk. The game plays fine on keyboard, but needs a bit of tweaking. The only other issue I feel the need to complain about are the few spikes in difficulty. I went in on normal mode, and while the game didn't hold my hand, I was making pretty good progress with the combat. All of that seemed to flip when I got to the Okumara fight. Up to then, I never felt pressured to use a specific strategy to win, I could generally use what I wanted (within reason) and still do fine. Okumara hardlined me onto a single path of making sure every party member had a counter to the weaknesses and exploiting the baton pass. This would be fine, but you're on a timer, and I'm not talking about the general timer. If you messed up one rotation for the boss, the enemies respawn. One miss, one crit on one of my party members, anything could make the fight restart. I ended up having to put Psi attacks on every party member in battle just so I could exploit the baton pass on one of the robots. It's not a fun fight, and I had never felt that powerless on a fight before or after that until the final boss of vanilla, which felt more like a challenge rather than a sequence I had to follow (a heal before fighting Yaldabaoth would have been appreciated though)

Other than that one part of the game, I absolutely loved Persona 5 Royal. I ended up doing the third semester and plan on trying to 100% the game and go through NG+. Would recommend.

A very simple game but a very engaging one. Lots of different endings to go for, and all of them are interesting. Glad I finally got every ending.

Very simple, but very enjoyable. I was a fan of the original on 3ds but found myself enjoying the new features. I had some problems with some of the new stuff though. I wasn't a fan of the horse part of the party, it felt unnecessary and I largely ignored it. While I enjoyed the tickets, it made the upset mechanic entirely worthless. The only major issue I had was with the second act, losing the old party and the classes I was stuck with had me take a break from the game entirely, but overall I really enjoyed the game with its job and friendship mechanics.

A very short and fun experience from start to finish. A lot of characters to play as, fun weapons and pets to collect, and an incredible campaign to play through. Very fun with a group of 4.

An amazing ending to the story so far. With how attached I was to Shadowbringers, I worried that Endwalker wouldn't live up to my expectations, but I was so far off. While the beginning of the story was a bit of a slow burn for me to get invested into, once you get invested, you are fully invested. (Spoiler start)

While the beginning with Zenos and Fandaniel was an interesting set up with the Final Days, it wasn't too interesting to me at first. Fandaniel felt like a weak antagonist and the Final Days didn't feel that much different than the sin eaters set up in Shadowbringers. Some stuff was interesting, like visiting Garlemald, and the quest to cure the tempered, two very big parts of FFXIV. But it wasn't until I reached Elpis that everything clicked.

Everything is explained in Elpis, and your goals become clear, to find what you've been fighting for all this time. Seeing all these big characters in the past is such an interesting plot point, and the drive to save the world from the newly learned threat is expanded. It explains Fandaniel's motives much more, gives purpose to an otherwise weak antagonist. The ending is climactic and beautiful. You and your companions fighting against the odds and coming out triumphant. A wonderful end to an amazing story.

Also Zenos's final battle is amazing and made me love him more as a rival. One of my favorite moments.

Ever since I finished Shadowbringers I have been urging people to play FFXIV and experience this game, and Shadowbringers is one of the defining reasons. I haven't been so attached to a story and its characters in a long time. The story pulls you in instantly, you're in a new land with so much to learn and discover. The conflict is great and kept me engaged the whole way through, and the characters were all interesting and likeable. Shadowbringers is a must play for anyone, the story is something everyone should experience.

While I don't think its as good as Heavensward, Stormblood managed to keep my attention well enough for me to enjoy it. It has a bit of a slow start that doesn't really get interesting until you land in Kugane, but from there the story really picks up and you begin to appreciate it a lot more. The new characters are all very well written and likeable, and the story is easy to follow and enjoy. The only major issue I had was that Ala Mhigo and its questline throughout Stormblood isn't as well written as Domas, although I also think that it might have something to do with the excitement of seeing a new area and meeting new characters, something that Ala Mhigo doesn't offer. Still a well made story and a great experience.

It had been a long time since I got so hooked to a game that I played it for a week straight and refused to switch to another game, but Heavensward was an experience I wish I could go through blind again. The characters are outstanding and are easy to love, the conflict is present throughout the whole story, something ARR wasn't able to accomplish, and the content was fantastic. The beginning is a bit slow, but that only took about 15 or so minutes for me to get hooked and stay hooked for the rest of the expansion. This is where my FFXIV addiction truly started. A must play for any MMO player.

A Realm Reborn is an alright play but is brought down by a pretty boring and not too special story. All its good for is to set up the story to the expansions, which it does a well enough job of. The dungeons and content offered is enough to make you want to keep playing, and the end of the post game will get you hooked and ready to start Heavensward. It's not perfect, but the gameplay gives enough to enjoy the playthrough.

i havent had a game i could consistently wake up everyday to get on and play since i played GTA 5 for the first time until now. genuinely one of the best games ive ever played, something everyone should play

The two sections of the campaign both work to make an amazing experience, with the Americans providing fun gameplay, and Russia with a great story and likeable characters. The game plays well to this day.

Very good campaign, with a lot of the issues from Cod 4 fixed. Very good characters and a great gameplay loop that I didn't find myself getting tired of.

Good story for a Call of Duty game. Something you can follow and get attached to. The only issue I ran into in gameplay is a lot of grenade spam and the rpg enemies on roofs being a very big annoyance with how often it happens.

absolutely love this game, it has the right learning curve that makes you want to go back and try again, you always know what you did wrong and where to improve. the secret ending was such a blast to learn and master, and i just completed the journal 100%. one day i want to 100% the achievements and fully complete it, thats how much i love this game

youre mostly coming here for the gameplay. the story is alright and you can get interested in it, but its gameplay is where it shines. it feels super satisfying to go through levels as fast as possible. i feel like the combat was very weak, and when the end of the game basically requires you to fight to move on, it can be a drag. maybe i wasnt understanding something, but there were multiple times id be put into a room with a lot of guys and had to wait around to fight them before getting back to the fun parts. apart from that and the minor fps issues on pc, very fun game
