One of the best indies that isn't a roguelike. I love the feeling of getting lost and more games need to make it happen instead of handholdey guidance. Combat was simple but the different combos with charms helps to make it feel fresh. Bosses are done very well especially in the dlc. All the dlc is free and adds way more content to the game. Silksong needs to release already.

Story was ok until you realized it was unfinished. Luckily the gameplay carried it for me as each mission had so many options. A shame we won't be able to see this gameplay in a future stealth game. It really didn't need to be open world and maybe needed 1 more diverse location.

Very short game and getting dash for the last few minutes sucks. Great gameplay, good music and great soul system.

Was ok for a bit but just got bored of catching and scanning.

Decent sequel with some real annoying things. Touch mechanics were unnecessary and just took me out. Soul rng felt worse but doesn't really matter. Julius mode got nerfed a bit. New portrait art is very bad and music was meh.

The sense of progression was great and I really loved all the sequence breaks you could do depending on your items. The small but dense world really made me want to search for every collectible as nearly every room had something of worth. Wall jumping still sucks and I wish the final boss was a bit harder.

Cool setting and most of the characters were cool. Story seemed intriguing but I can't stand old school smt combat no matter how good the game is.

Surprised at how generous some of the checkpoints were for a 1986 game. Stage 15 and 17 still sucked but final boss was fun to learn.

Ok game except they forgot to put bosses or difficulty in.

Very weird game that was enjoyable for the most part. No desire to go for other endings or play the extra puzzles but glad I played the game.

Chozos telling you where to go exactly kinda ruined what I like metroidvanias for but the other new content on this remake was great.

The best of 3 castlevania games on the NES. This plays like the first game except you are able to recruit and use multiple characters. Has a route split too but wish the falling blocks weren't so slow. Dracula checkpoint is a pain but oh well.

Not worth playing at all. Shit jumping with awful falling platforms, very slow belmont, no subweapons, and losing whip upgrades on damage. Its short and music is still good.

Better than the first game and fixed nearly all of it's mistakes. Still a gameboy game so its short and lacking difficulty. I did like being able to tackle the zones in any order.

Not really castlevania but decent enough. Still a short easy GB game.
