Aggressive, satisfying gameplay and jam-packed with content. Get ready for the next battle!

Procedurally generated areas in a third-person shooter, that borrows heavily from Dark Souls sounds interesting, and Remnant 2 mostly is just that. Bad itemization and progress, plus some oddly formulaic story tropes holds this title back from being truly special. It is cool to finally see UE5 games in action.

It is very dumb, but also a lot of fun. Story is intriguing despite being presented in a really weird way. Here's hoping for more content and long-lived support for years to come.

2022

Innovative survival city-builder with a good story, stellar soundtrack and some frustrating game mechanics.

Still plagued by performance issues and lacking variety. There is a solid core here, but it is no Monster Hunter. Yet.

Dropkicking zoms is fun, but it is only fun for so long. And no technical system of flesh and gore is going to save this title from mediocrity.

One of the most surprising and interesting open worlds ever crafted. A video game that does not underestimate the player. Amazing experience all the way through.

This game got me back into MCU (along with Snap). Plenty is shared with XCOM, mostly the good stuff, and the card-based combat feels satisfying. There is almost too much game here, the campaign easily spanning over 50 hours. It can get a bit repetitive when you are just trying to progress the story. The dollhouse aspect is pretty great and varied, with a lot of unlockable costumes and color palettes to customize your heroes.

MechWarrior 2 was an awesome game, but since then the series has been mediocre at best. While this latest entry nails the vibes of 100 ton bipedal killing machines, it is not much of a video game. It is the modders, once again, who have transformed this half-assed effort by the developers to something exceptional. If there is one franchise besides Warhammer 40k that deserves better, it is BattleTech.

Tetris is the best video game ever made.

USG Ishimura is the real star here. Fuck this ship.

Does not overstay its welcome but has the underpinnings of an even more ambitious RPG. Overall, a solid and thoroughly enjoyable Star Wars story.

Good looking, but tired and uninspired end to this modern Lara trilogy.

Played eight hours straight through the night in candlelight while drinking red wine, right after reaching the ripe age where I could actually legally buy booze. One of the more memorable gaming experiences that I've yet to replicate.

Short but interestingly scary experiment. Simplistic as a game, rich as an experience.
