Man, I feel so dumb for progressing one third of the game and only then realising that there was a night vision option in the game and I had to turn it on to see things clearly instead of roaming around like a blind bat for 33% of the game. There were some really dark rooms where I had to navigate and was clueless for the majority of the time. I like the atmosphere of the game, it's kind of different from the other halo games but sometimes it looks unpolished and the cutscenes were pretty bad in comparison to the rest of the franchise, the face models looked like they were made in early 2000s , one of the main characters almost looks like Claude from gta 3, it was that block shaped and the animations in the cutscenes didn't help much either. I guess this was made on a lower budget compared to the other halo titles. I wasn't that invested in the story too and the humor that they went for felt like a misfire imo. They tried to replicate the kind of humor Battlefield Bad Company 2 had (I know BF released later) but then the latter did it far better than ODST. The gameplay and level design was fun albeit short but there were a few repetitive segments in the pseudo open world where you have to keep finding clues to something, that really felt boring honestly. Overall I don't mind this game that much it was decent, I appreciate that it was shorter on length and distinguishes itself in certain aspects from the rest of Halo. And before I finish ranting I literally was not able to find a single health pack in this game, so playing it on heroic that low health indicator sound was ringing in my ears like a siren throughout the game.

Absolutely dug this game. Gameplay was so damn fun. All the next game needs to do from here is add the ability to grab and throw objects at enemies using the force. Also I understand why the lightsaber is so nerfed compared to the movies, I know it isn't lore accurate but the gameplay wouldn't make sense without the nerf, walking like a force to be reckoned with and one hit killing your enemies with a lightsaber is without a doubt the most badass thing ever but then it would soon grow stale wrt gameplay unless they try incorporating something like Ghostrunner's one hit kill mechanic and make it a secondary game mode like mercenaries mode from all them Resident Evil remakes. Also what is this obsession of Respawn with creating absolutely wholesome and unhateable robot companions, first BT from Titanfall 2 and now BD in this game, just hope BD doesn't meet the same fate. Story wise it's alright but there were so many awe inducing sequences especially during the ending; cinematic af. The graphics and art style is good but something about the vegetation seems a bit off especially kashykk, had the same issue with respawn's previous game titanfall 2, but it's not that big of an issue. All the different planets are so damn diverse with its visuals, enemies and flora & fauna. Barely made it out of the final boss encounter, I know for a fact that my ass would've been cooked without the lb+x move. Also some of the puzzles were absolutely horrendous especially those on zeffo tombs and I really wished there was some sort of fast travel, the exploration could've felt so much less tedious if there was less backtracking and a fast travel feature. The combat and exploration were so addictive, I truly cannot wait to play Jedi Survivor before my controller gives into the dark side. I know the next game's performance is god awful on PC but I hope my pc can somehow run it at 60 fps. I don't think the ubisoft Star Wars game is gonna be this good.

Holy shit what a stellar piece of art. The concept was crazily innovative. The amount of experimental shit done in here in order to convey the main character's thought process is extremely impressive. The combat is fun but the camera is so damn clunky, sometimes it completely blinds you if you go near a wall and you get whooped by the enemies as a result. But yeah like I said it's fun but it lacks any sort of depth to it, it's your usual parry, evade and attack kind of thing but the parrys feel so good when you time it properly and there are moments when the voices in your head help you if there's an enemy attacking you from behind so you can parry in time to save your ass. The idea of Auditory hallucinations during combat is so damn good, sometimes you get demotivated by those voices when in a fight and sometimes they guide you and kinda motivate you to push through, the implementation of that is just chefs kiss. They're annoying and pestering you all the time giving you a slight glimpse of how it feels to be in such mentally unstable and anxious state of mind. The Valravn puzzle was a pain in the ass to finish other than that all the puzzle/walking simulator segments were fun albeit time consuming; the alphabet/symbol matching one grew too old too quickly and that is what they stuck with until the end. Again goated atmosphere and goated sound design. The story is kinda messy and it's probably intentionally done that way since the protagonist is kind of insano. The graphics seemed too good for a 2017 game, the second game will definitely push some boundaries in that aspect. The ending dragged on a bit but what an amazing game nonetheless. Also congrats Microsoft on killing the 2nd game even before it's arrival with absolutely no marketing whatsoever, gotta be the most dumbass corpo to ever exist.

I liked it fine alright but then somehow even with all the improvements in visuals and making things even more cinematic, it felt like this was a bit of a downgrade to the first game. The first game had a very simple story and yet it felt like there was a good reason to make a game out of it but here I feel like they could've taken a bit more risk with it now that there are more than one characters around you. But I did like what they tried with the ending. Those voices in your head this time around don't have the same impact as the previous game, got too lame this time around with other characters being present and everything.

The graphics is amazing especially those photo realistic character models, they look too real for a game when you look at them without any upscaling. But the game was so demanding to do things like that. Absolutely cooked my laptop gpu 🥲 the vram memory leaks were too often, it's so joever for my 3060 laptop, I hoped it could carry itself till gta 6 dropped, but not looking good at all. The blackbars were anything but cinematic imo, the only reason they would have opted for that would be too increase performance on consoles, game looked so much good when I removed those bars. Also I feel like I spent more time figuring how to enable frame generation mods on this than actually playing the game 💀. I fucking hate when games gate keep you from key features and pay wall it. What was their excuse for not bringing in official fsr frame gen support when dlss frame gen was available day one? Can't pull such acts when the game is this demanding and half the playerbase would struggle to run it properly.

They've toned down on combat it isn't as frequently occurring as the previous game but most of the walking segments feel so polished visually compared to the previous game. But then again they're hardly interactive like the previous game, so I kinda preferred such segments more from the previous game. The combat makes everything so cinematic and we'd think that's a good thing, it kinda is but then I feel like they overdid it when it started to feel like there was a 20 second cutscene everytime you parry, that's pretty immersion breaking for a game, hopefully they find the right balance next game but I had more fun with the combat previous game despite its clunkiness. So yeah they cooked with the animations but also went overboard with it. I feel like the reason why people are giving it flack is because of the pricing. The game is at best a 6-8 hour game with no replayablity and most of it is just about the atmosphere and walking through it, so yeah I expect people to be mad about it. Combat is both an improvement and a downgrade at the same time and the puzzles are definitely underwhelming compared to the last game but I still feel it was a neat experience overall. I will no doubt play the next game if they ever make it.

Modern Day Assassin's Creed done right. It's not that different from newer AC games like Origins, Odyssey, Valhalla etc.. its got the same quest template that ubisoft has been using for god knows since when but its combat is far more polished and fun compared to the AC games. Also theres not much tediousness attached to the game compared to those titles since you don't need to scale your level up to have a fair chance in the main quest, you can do the main quest without any such hassle, so all those filler ass side quests are completely optional, this is what majorly sets it apart from those AC games. I feel like this way you don;t lose that focus on the main storyline. And majority of the side quests here are boring but then kinda essential since some of them provide you with more context to characters from the main storyline, but it isn;t as effective as something like cyberpunk, so you can skip em. And there are also quests that reward you with weapons, new move sets, etc so some of them are pretty handy. As for the story I liked the way Act 1 ended but after that it felt a bit draggy and predictable. They maintained a steady level design throughout the story, like you know it wasnt recycle the same segment over and over like those ubi titles I mentioned. What ubi does most of the time is put their entire budget and focus on the prologue and ending and basically do nothing but just copy pasting content in middle part of their games. And the combat here is super fun, the boss fights/duels are great for the most part, Khotun Khan's boss fight was bad but other than that most of them were fun and challenging especially the first encounter with Ryuzo.

I dont care what the general consensus is but the PC port by Nixxes is absolutely dog shit. I feel like there's unreal PR for them on platforms like twitter, reddit and youtube cuz the optimisation is BAD. The game visually looks stunning, the art style is gorgeous but the asset quality is not that impressive, the lighting is good but other than that, the asset quality looked like it belonged to 2015 era of video games. My point is for a ps4 game the performance on PC is not at all satisfactory, there are better looking ps4 titles like GoW, Uncharted, Horizon Zero Dawn, Days Gone, Spiderman that run far far better than this game and yet people seem to consider this a perfect PC port. The Vram management is just abysmal, frame rate would decrease by 50% constantly because of vram leakage and only a restart would fix it. All the upscaling methods look broken in certain cases, the fire effects and depth of field are completely destroyed when you you use dlss or any other upscaler. The game shouldn't be hogging vram like that since the textures don't look impressive one bit. I would have had a much better experience with the game if the port wasn;t as bad as it was.

The dlc was too short for me to capitalise on all the new enhancements they introduced with the enemies. I like how they can switch their weapons mid combat, kinda gets you to pay more attention with choosing stances. The new horse features don't interest me all that much, I was expecting something mind-blowing when I saw the last part of the skill tree being locked for the dlc and ended up getting disappointed after knowing it was for that horse rush thing, definitely not worth the entire branch of a skill tree. The story was just bland and the combat kept me pushing through. Concluding thoughts about the game is that it's very fun combat wise, the setting is obviously pretty cool but it's kinda overhyped with the story, like it succeeds in pacing itself well compared to RPG AC but it's more or less the same formula but done far better. Will definitely be seated for the sequel 🫡
