This is my first pikmin game, and wow the sense of expoloration and charm this game has is insane, theirs such a strong sense of joy I get from finding treasures, rescuing castaway even upgrading its such a fun addicting cycle, hope pikmin 5 comes quicker.

This game has so many little contrivances that hinder it at every corner, Nintendo will win a fuckton of awards and some are deserved but ultimatly it is just expanded botw flaws and all.
How the fuck an anyone think this is better than 3, if people want an example of a bad thing from this series here you go.
The internet says this game is bad so I agree, on a real this game has issues lots of issues , issues that I think are totally reasonable to dislike this game just read the top review this game on backlogged and you will see lol. But for some reason I like it even more than three, the beginning sucks but for some reason 4 yrs after my first playthrough I just can't forget my intial experience with it.Its like marmite, some people fuck with it other despise and somehow I am the former.
I mean it was better than base game but feels extremely self indulgent and contentious towards the end, yes lets connect xeno games from 20 yrs ago only the most dedicated people played.Shulk and Rex intteracting was cute and Matthew was the best protagionist in the series period, I also liked A until the plot kicked in and the kids well they really should have stayed in the womb but hey theirs like one good scene with them each so I guess it was worth it in the end.
I don't know, recently it has become quite easy to despise this game it being as unimportant feeling as it is, I will never forget playing it, but also't really wouldn't care if it just stopped existing and monolithsoft went and made something more fulfilling.3 stars is good please don't kill me.

In terms of a core game this is easilyy the best fighting game released ever, a strong single player mode and unique roster of fighters elevates this game to greatness, along with having some of the best online features in a game. But issues become clearer upon longer play, the music is just generally dogshit ,gone are the days of listening to yoko shinomura riffs of kens theme and now we have something your grandparents would call hip, don't get me started on the vocal themes, the games balancing is some of the worst I have seen, charcters at the bottom have no chance of beating charcters at the top, look no further than jamie a charcter whose gimmick of sipping a drink to become more powerful will lead to his downfall, tag a risk reward system with the already existing one in game and you have the worst balanced charcter in fighting game period.
