Am I missing something here? While context is important for why this game is popular, I found the overall game to be very choppy and messy. Shit happens and that’s it, no explanations and it can be irritating sometimes. The story is easily the best part, and gameplay/soundtrack are cool in relation to the game, but idk I’m not feeling it at all.

One of the best stories ever put to a video game but trying to play it was so not it, this style of turn based combat really did more harm than good. Also it’s visually bad but I can’t knock it for that because it’s a PS1 game

Gameplay is cool, but dear god the story is so uninteresting that it nulls me to sleep. If you told me to remember one storyline or important character in this game, I might just leave the room before you could finish the question. Horizon is the closest thing to a game I would call an industry plant, the most basic triple A game I’ve ever played

The game made me wanna play sports so that’s cool ig

In all honesty, I suck at these type of games. But Civ 6 was one of the only entry of a historical strategy based that actually intrigued me. This game along with Minecraft and GTA was a staple during the COVID lockdowns

It’s hard to deny its status as an icon in the industry, and it was fun to play with friends between 2015-2020, but I began to drop it as time went on. Mojang might truly be one of the laziest game companies to grace the earth, and it’s hard to give them more credit with their recent laziness of basically adding one mob a year and taking a year long vacation after. For a game that’s been out for more than a decade, you’d think it would have more content then it presents

My personal favorite CoD, and also classifies as the most underrated. Everything in this game activities wise are all at least decent, with the Multiplayer being the weakest. Zombies was fun and the main story is one of the best in the series

Kar98K my beloved

This game on the Dragon engine really made it 10x better. Main story and side quests are mostly passable, a big problem I had with the story was the entire last battle of the numerous ass pull twists that never stopped. The new and exclusive characters like Ryoji and Kaoru were all great too

The most recent CoD entry I’ve touched since I ditched the series. The game is ok, but it’s really stale in the shooting department and the rewards for playing the game are pretty bad too. Playing on Shipment was also like D-Day with the amount of camping losers the lobby had. The game also set a precedent for yearly remakes of CoD games which absolutely tanked their reputation. Warzone and it’s creation as a whole is also dogshit

Seriously, when Kratos tells you that his 8 hour dlc has more story than a TRIPLE A COD GAME at the game awards and proves you right, you fucked up as a franchise

Hopefully not the last entry for Smash, but if it truly was it was definitely a wild ride. The only reason the game is really low for me is lack of playing it, and I’d also be lying to myself if I said I wish we could’ve had interactions between characters to make the whole “everyone is here” thing more prevalent

But as someone who doesn’t follow Smash lore all that much, the best part about the game were the reveals for the DLC every direct and shitting myself when picks like Steve and Sora actually made. Sakurai really outdid himself with this game

This is technically the only Pokemon game I’ve sit down and tried to play. But for reference, I know about and have tried to fully play every mainline game

With that said, I find this game is over hated. Sure the open world element is pretty stale and empty, but I appreciate the idea of making a more open Pokémon world, as it kinda fits in the style of these games. The main issue of this game is the story, it’s pretty boring and follows a lot of similar story limes with less interesting characters

A bright spot, however, is the Gen 8 Pokémon cast,. It’s pretty solid with awesome designs like Corviknight and the Coal line. Grookey is one of my favorite starters and Dynamax is a neat mechanic but overall kinda weak when Megas and Z moves are right there

Apex was actually pretty fun in the first 5-6 seasons, and I had no problem with occasionally spending money on a few apex packs to get a heirloom chance. But after the production of Heirloom skins there became a noticeable fall off, to the point now where EA is trying to justify one paying $300 for a death box.

Over time the game got more and more money hungry and stale in gameplay to the point where you really had to question whether or not all these resources pouring into the game could’ve been used to make TF3

Game is fun when you are good at it, however the game has one of the steepest learning curves when it comes to getting into it. It’s also a very competitive environment in the casual game modes which is a turn off. Games alright but I never have an urge to play

It’s really boring and empty in the worst ways possible. There is seriously nothing this game has done better in any department that put it above 4 for me, with ugly graphics and a weak story

May pick up again but right now, I can’t be bothered to be interested

Dauntless was a kind of guilty pleasure game to play when I was alone and didn’t feel like playing a story game. Unfortunately, over the years I came to realize that the game was going in a bad direction and basically dropped it without a second thought
