A really cool game of small proportions with NG+ content. Nabbed it for $4 and it's quite fun; combat is bouncy and satisfying backed up with some hot jams. Every area, enemy, and boss is unique so the game doesn't get stale. The puzzles are relatively simple but some of them are interesting. The story is just kinda there, but what more do you need, just beat everything to a pulp with your meaty fists.

I was enjoying the game then I arrived at the Temple of Amabat and the game just crapped out on me. Cutscenes were losing their audio, the game wasn't loading. I was on the cusp of the game picking up then it just stopped working. IDK, I wish I could've finished it.

To help me cope with the ending of Eastward I bought the $6 expansion where it promised, and delivered, that nothing bad would happen; I've processed my mourning and I'm absolutely enraptured with these characters more than I was before. Getting to live a peaceful farming life with Sam, Alva, Isabel, Solomon, William's Family, and Mung's Family has brought me much joy. I am now a huge fan of Eastward, part of me hopes Pikpil will continue the story of Eastward but I wouldn't be surprised, nor would I be mad, if they moved on to a different game.

I bought this game on a whim to use up my Gold Points before they expired based on the cover. I do not regret it.

Eastward is a story focused action adventure game in the style of old Zelda games with an art style inspired by Mother 3. The combat is ehh, left to be desired, partially because this game lags on the switch and partially because some enemies will just stick to you. A minor annoyance, nothing more than that. The shining star of the game is the story. Act 1 is predictable but for good reason, Act 2 is boring but for good reason, and Act 3 is where it all pays off. Most people I talked to about Eastward dropped it around Act 2, Act 2 is where the game sticks in one area for a majority of the game. You are there to get immersed, live with the city folk, and absorb the atmosphere. It's worth it, I promise.

Good game, definitely recommend.

P.S. This game is surprisingly raunchy and kinda vulgar even though the game looks very friendly. For example, there is a merchant that is a repurposed sex machine and whenever you complete a transaction, the display on the machine plays an animation of a woman climaxing. It's not graphic or anything...that's just what happens...

I may not play the mobage that much anymore but this game was like a dream come true. All these characters I've grown to love in gacha are now in a 3D action game. I'm steadily playing through the game trying to 100%, I will write a better review at a later date.

A real gamer's game.

I absolutely adored this game, it's just plain fun. It fed my nostalgia, since it reminded me of GameCube Era Nintendo where they released such games like Luigi's Mansion and Wario World. It's a 3D action adventure game all about Peach! The game is so cute and charming, I hope they follow through with the sequel bait they laid at the end.

The only game where saying "I need this girl to be more depressed" is a win condition.

This game is like if you gave a child an aquarium of fish and each fish was individually experimented on. Some lived happy lives, some spiraled out of control, and some even became God. A delicate balancing act of attempting to achieve an ending, most times getting something unexpected. I enjoyed my time with Ame/KAngel, I unlocked 19 out of 27 endings on my own, cleaned up the rest of the endings using a guide. Great game with banger tracks, definitely recommend it even if it does get a little scary sometimes.

A good cop reveals the corruption of Grant City by killing 3,000 goons to prove his innocence and avenge his father.

An absolutely absurd action game. It's pretty alright for its length, definitely riding the coat tails of Max Payne. This game is all about feeling cool as hell; using bullet time to fly through the air and kill 4 people in a dive. It's pretty short and thank the lord it is; levels start being reused and the only difference is the amount of goons.

If you told me this game was made by the Guacamelee devs, I would've believed you.

The indie not indie game from Nexon; full of charming characters, relaxing music, and a giant blue hole. I'm not crazy about the game. This game seems like it was meant to be played during early access and not as a full game. Things are unlocked at a slow pace because each chapter was a big content drop in early access. It destroys the pacing, you want to advance but you can't and need to wait a mandatory amount of days. Sometimes you need to leave the area, wasting a time slot, then comeback to continue the adventure.

An incredibly charming game with over the top presentation, the pacing and size of the game seriously needed to be worked on. As for the Guacamelee thing, all the game's dialogue revolves around rehashed jokes and game references.

A good additive to the main game that should ABSOLUTELY be played around the half way mark of the main game.

Something enamored me about this game for the last 17 and a half hours.

Lovecraftian fishing game where you putz about on a pontoon, solving mysteries, feeding weird dudes in robes, and dredging up God knows what from the deep. The game has a great atmosphere and the fishing mini-game is varied, and quick enough, that it never got stale. The game has some pacing issues in regards to upgrading the boat. If you have the time and money you can be fully upgraded before even reaching the 3rd area.

PRO GAMER TIP: If you're thinking about getting the Pale Reach expansion, it's a nice additive for the price; however you should play it about halfway through the game. Any rewards gained from the expansion are worth it then.

Goodbye Momodora

This game reminded me of Ender Lilies even though it has almost nothing in common. It was nice, tight, and a good 10 hours of metroidvania fun. Cute anime girls, cool bosses, dreamy music; I adored a lot of things about this game. The Sigils could have been space out better because I was doing alright throughout most of the game. Late game I got 3 sigils back to back and became an unstoppable monster, kinda flattened the endgame. Bombservice ended Momodora well and I will follow them to their next game.

2001

The control scheme, even after changing it to something I thought was better, is very clunky and on mission 2 the game didn't seem to continue after the opening. Either I was missing something or I wasn't, but it's removed from the backlog for now.

This game was absolutely robbed in every 2023 Game Awards show.

A phenomenal, fast pace, oozing with character platformer. It's fun to play through casually and I cannot wait to master the movement and go for 100%.

I saw an otomad called Tower of Rocco and decided to play this. It was a cool hour of gaming, I did enjoy it! Nice to see the humble beginnings of the devs who made Katana Zero.
