The thing about final fantasy 9 is that it's just good. It doesn't try to do anything wacky or insane; go outside of its lane. Solid jrpg foundation with roots that span the goddamn globe. That's how solid this game is.

Bought it in 2010 and had a blast. Sick starting setting with top of the line FMV's where you can move around during them. Good characters with a solid plot with wonderful music. You better go on the date with big beef cake boy.

While not as good as the 1st and 2nd game, it still is a very solid addition to the platforming library on the SNES. Probably the easiest of the 3 as well.
Music is still ok, the platforming is fine and the characters feel ok. I think my favorite level is the monkey climb level where they throw shit at ya while you go up a rope. Bosses are very hit or miss.

A perfect addition to the platforming trilogy. Great platforming, great looks and even better music. Also a tad bit easier and forgiving with the flying mechanic of girlfriend Kong; but still feels great on diddy.

40hrs of misery with long drawn out parts of nothingness. It really is an over hyped game that can only say it is nice to look at. Characters suck as well.
