the camera and movement felt off for being a platformer

VERY simple combat, but the sprites are pretty

I absolutely love the style and everything, but I just used a guide to do the actual gameplay stuff, was not in a reading mood

This game is pain. It wastes your time and sits there with a shit eating grin while you do the same like 6 mini games constantly. There are more mini-games than this, but for SOME reason they love handing you the same ones (golf, bike racing, CAR racing, protect chickens, protect garden). The car feels terrible. The golf is the worst fucking thing in this game. It is by far the longest mini game, and the gopher is way too slow. The idea of it is fun, but it's definitely not done well. The back 9 is fucking a hell full of bad design/decisions for golf. They force you to play golf SIX times, one of those being all 18 holes in succession. Some mini games are fine, but that's it, fine, then the rest feel like shit and piss me off. Also, the boss fight glitched for me at the end and his health bar hit zero without dying, so had to do that again 👍

I enjoyed this game. It does what it does really well. I enjoyed the characters. The only gripes i had is i didn't know that hanging with people that aren't your main friends doesn't progress the day, so i just missed content; and that I can't experience the other content that I didn't choose. I understand that decisions to make your decisions hard to choose between friends, but maybe afterwards to be able to play those without playing the game again would be nice.

Perfectly fine Metroidvania. The way it uses magic is cool. Upgrading the magic is good because it lets you respec as much as you want. You can upgrade the block power so you can just wack it and it flies and hurts enemies and that is really satisfying.
The game is also really easy, but I can't tell if its because i was cheesing the bosses with upgraded powers (which i like) or they are just easy.

Playing this again i really got to see how much it is inspired from Day of Dead in the cutscenes. They all feel like real movie shots. I didn't remember this game being as serious as it was, but it is pretty much all serious.
The gameplay is good for the setting/idea. The AI is annoying to deal with but its fine.
The real shitter is the final boss. He just blocks all your punches and it feels miserable.

Saints Row IV is a bodacious farewell to the Saints. The ride has been crazy. From a random street punk to ruler of a space empire; from grounded gta clone to insane super power simulator.

The Super Powers make for some of the funnest game play in a Saints Row game. Being able to sprint and jump around the map at high speeds makes it so much better since Steelport just sucks as a location if you are normal. It does take a step back in the enemies though, because its just the Zin, idk makes the world feel emptier than 3 gangs and police. They added a SHIT ton of power up points for your powers to the map (like 1200) to make the map have more stuff, kind of cheap, but it activates the collector neurons so its fine. The collectibles in SR3 were not fun to get because you had to drive, or slowly fly, to get to them, very boring.

While i think this might be the best gameplay in the series, I don't think I like it for a "saint's row" game. Yes, it is super fun, but the super powers can NOT lend themselves to a grounded story/world. The story in this game is my least favorite, but its still enjoyable. It does some good stuff, like Shaundi dealing with her past self, and the Gat stuff. All the references to saint's row past was awesome too, like the mission where you free benjamin King at the old saint's church from SR1.

I do find it weird that they kept ALL the guy voice actors for the player character, but replaced girl 2 and 3 from SR3. I really digged the kind of russian voice for my girl in SR3, but then i had to settle for french accent in this game. Also the game kept crashing on PC, probably about once every hour or so. It didn't really bother me because the game autosaves like crazy and its a quick start, but that doesn't mean that its not bad.

Possibly the greatest protagonist in a video game

Really weird they decided to gut all the older characters and add new ones. The new ones are alright, the yeti's power is probably one of the best idea's they could add to peggle. Making Bjorn XD bacon waffles is so stupid though, really bad decision.

This game ends right about when it overstays its welcome. Its alright.

it is a cool little metroidvania. The movement is satisfying once you start getting better and moving fast. The combat is also fun once you get a certain upgrade, and figure out the timing of your shots so you can shoot as fast as possible. The game is challenging enough so that it isn't a baby game, but it isn't so hard it just makes you fucking angry; a very good balance. I highly recommend this.
