Only played through the main quest and yeah, it wasn't as good as the first one. The parkour bits were still pretty satisfying except for the times where they tried to throw scripted stuff in front of your feet to make things more cinematic since it was very very easy to just accidentally get ahead of the timing they wanted you to have, which broke the runner-immersion quite a few times.

Unavoidable combat scenes were really annoying and overall the combat just wasn't good enough to justify them.

I cant believe I already knew the story and all the knacks and twists in this one (seen it on youtube from start to finish before) and it still sucked me in this hard when I played through it myself. The atmosphere is amazing and I especially loved the animations and the fast paced fluidity of everything. Also ... the music and sound design ... just utter madness. It certainly isnt everyday that I buy an OST because I get hooked on the sounds of animals getting skinned and someone reeling in a fishing line.

I really hope they put the other scrybes into Kaycee's Mod some time in the future. The creativity and attention to detail that went into all the different settings and card decks and mechanics ... it would be a shame if they stayed "one-offed" like that in the main playthrough.

The bourgeois had it coming. The end was nigh. They brought the disco upon themselves.

This is the story about a boy who learns to appreciate his levitating pet edamame bean. It was very pretty and only a tiny bit repetitive. A good one off title for those who need some gaming to calm down ... Can't really comment on the music because I was playing with headphones but my headphones were plugged in to another device and I was listening to something else and before I realized I played the game muted it was already over but it looked like it could have had some pretty nice calm music.

A neat and compact pixel adventure. I loved the music and sound design despite them clashing a little with the otherwise retro style visuals. Progression was swift and I respect a game that doesn't stretch its playing time unnecessarily.

My big downer however was the combat. I've read that a lot of people really liked the gameplay mechanics and the combat and everything and while I think that there were some cool ideas in there the overall gameplay feel was sluggish and not very satisfying in my opinion. The game invites you to try a fast paced combat but fails to keep up with itself. Also there were too many secondary weapons. I never used - nor did I feel the need to use - any of them besides the one that was actually required to solve some of the puzzles.

Yup, I agree ... Visuals were amazing, sound design and music amazing. Atmosphere amazing. Story? Stretched out, confusing, juvenile and really shot itself in the foot at times. The combat and exploration/puzzle parts were very tedious and unsatisfying and it felt like the game was just trying to stretch its play time.

My heart weeps for these bugs.

Good for a quick rip, too luck-based to get all too invested in as a roguelike.

They said videogames would be wasting my time.

If it had been then what it is now I would have no regrets about this purchase. If you haven't played it and are looking to pick it up now then its a Go, but I feel like this game has had its chance with me.

The (rightfully so) unloved smaller brother. It was too long for comfort and the constant backtracking put a big ol' dent in the fun I otherwise could have had, I feel.

I liked the Forza where you could buy and drive cool cars through advancing in your career and acquiring in game credit instead of being given the option to buy car packages for 10 bucks a piece ...

A stealth adventure that makes you wanna rush to the end after hitting that 50-60% mark. Characters, while interesting, were boringly played out, but the overall story was fine.

While I really enjoyed this game at first I almost abandoned it (but instead took a 5 year break) because it really dragged throughout the first 3 "chapters" and a shocking amount of the puzzles were just frustrating to solve "the proper way" so in the end I used the same cheesy techniques for quite a handful of them (and often times these puzzles were just not very glitch-proof). The underlying principles on how to solve certain puzzles were reused too often for my taste and there were just too many in my opinion.

That being said, I really liked the theme and the entire story felt very well conveyed to me at all times. From finding hidden extra information or just figuring out where dialogue options could lead you I pretty much found the storytelling to be a very seamless and genuinely interesting construct.
