Incredibly hard game to rate. From a technical aspect, the game is a class of its own. When it comes to graphics, gameplay, animations, etc it is unmatched. I would say the story is good overall with lots of glaring flaws, pacing being the worst of them. Certain portions of the game are way too long. The first game showcased a ton of locations across America which led to large environmental variety, Part II suffers from mostly being set in a single city with the same environment over and over. It's a great game, but doesn't come close to the bar the first set.

A very hard game to rate and review - Buggy release aside, playing years after launch on a PS5, it is still clearly unfinished in many blatant ways (only 2 prostitute options??). Despite this, there is some semblance of a good game here, and you can see that somewhere underneath it all is what could've been a great game. The blatant flaws are undeniable: Combat is as meh as it gets, the cop/crime system is a joke, etc. But then you have things like really beautiful and fleshed out romance storylines and thought provoking quest choices. Overall, Cyberpunk 2077 is wasted potential that needs a lot more than just patches to fix, but it is wasted potential that's still worth giving a shot.

Liked it way more than I was expecting. Didn't care much about Fetch in the main game, but her character (and her powers) really shine here.

It took me a few tries to get into this game for some reason but once I did, I couldn't put it down. I'm usually not a fan of 2D side scrollers but the style of this one is irresistible. The story does seem a little too God of War-ish with the premise of killing evil Greek gods one by one, but it's a premise that works. Highly recommend.

It doesn't get any better than this. Over 100 hours put into it and I was left just wanting more. Dark Souls meets Skyrim meets the Witcher 3 - This is Darks Souls 4 for all intents and purposes but with so, so many QoL improvements (although there still could be more). Every dungeon is unique, every area is captivating. There is of course some repetition being of this scale but not once was I remotely close to getting bored or tired of the gameplay loop. It's honestly amazing that this game didn't take decades to make.

2010

Perfect example of a world telling a story without the need for dialogue. Beautiful, creepy, and fun.

I was expecting a throwaway B-tier spin-off, instead I got a fantastic, albeit short, story that competes with the series' best. Proof that the series can continue successfully even without Nathan Drake as the protagonist.

Nowhere near as good as I remember it being when I was a kid. The remaster's extremely saturated colors often ended up hurting my eyes. Exploring the different environments is still fun and the humor does land occasionally. It's a shame they couldn't get Clancy Brown for the remaster, Mr. Krabs's knockoff voice is extremely jarring.

While it lacks replayability if you aren't a hardcore player, everything else about SSFIV is perfect. The roster of classic and new characters especially. Better than V in every way other than graphically, and even then not by much. Arenas are memorable, characters are bursting with charisma and style, and the paint splatter art style fits perfectly. Still wouldn't recommend to non-fighting game fans.

YOU CAN'T EAT ME, I'M HERBERT MOOOOOOON

There's some good stuff going on here but it's just stretched so thin. It's overlong, it's janky, the plot is nonsense, all of the characters are useless. But whatever, what people really praise this game for is the Alien AI.

I don't get the hype. Not sure what's so impressive about the Alien inexplicably always knowing where you are and showing up nearby. Not trying to sound cool, plenty of games scare the hell out of me, but I don't think I found it scary once. There are plenty of tense moments for sure, but all that tension is gone once you get the flamethrower and are then no longer helpless. Not to mention I played on hard difficulty and still always had near maxed out supplies and ammo at all times.

By far the best Assassin's Creed game - The dead family/revenge storyline may be way overdone but Bayek is the first protagonist in the series with real human emotions the player can really feel and get behind. A shame the final act of the game is so hastily thrown together and doesn't do the rest justice. Ancient Egypt is absolutely breathtaking and a joy to explore. The game's one major flaw other than the story falling apart near the end is the tedious loot system, but it's easy to forgive.

By far the worst game NetherRealm Studios has put out since rebranding. I'm not sure what happened in development that caused this to be such a train wreck, whether it being the publisher forcing microtransaction-heavy modes or if there was truth to the rumors about it originally being Injustice 3. But on a macro and micro level, the game is completely flawed.

Story Mode is where the small bit of good in the game is. The story is certainly absolute nonsense with nonstop plot holes and dumb decisions, but it was refreshing to get a more grounded and sometimes reimagined take on many characters. If anything they didn't take this far enough and could've switched up a lot more. The graphics and especially facial animations are some of the best I've ever seen in a video game. Top notches performances all around... Except for the hilariously bad Megan Fox as Nitara. Were they scared to ask her to do a second take?

Invasions mode is pushed as the driving force behind the game and is basically the only thing to do in single player once you finish the main story. And unless you care about unlocking costumes in 35 different shades of the same exact ugly color, there is 0 reason to do so. Nonstop boring grindy content, no fun to be had.

Even the classic towers are somehow ruined. Each character's ending, rather than being the story of what would happen if they were the one to beat the big bad boss as it is traditionally, instead shows what they do after the main story of the game. Not only is this boring, but it causes multiple characters' ending to be the exact same thing due to being involved in each other's epilogues. And speaking of the big bad boss at the end of the tower? It's literally just Shang Tsung in a dumb looking outfit, he doesn't even get a buff. There is no challenge whatsoever. He's literally just a regular character in the game.

I've seen people say that despite the game's flaws this is the best Mortal Kombat gameplay-wise. I get it, but personally I despise the whole Kameo system, so the gameplay is a major bust for me.

The whole thing feels like a giant step down from Mortal Kombat 11 (Which wasn't exactly amazing, but is great next to this garbage). The fatalities are totally uninspired. Even the character interactions before each match seem so cold - most of them don't even make sense, 2 characters who are friends agreeing on a point or something rather than explaining why it is that they're about to fight.

One of the least enjoyable gaming experiences I've ever had. Took me literal months to finally get through it. Every mechanic is made to be as frustrating as humanly possible. Likely the worst controls of anything I've ever played. The music and graphics are both beautiful. That's the only positive thing I can say.

Wow these games did not age well. All my fond memories of AC2 being a masterpiece were shattered. Ezio still has a lot of personality but it's not enough to make up for a terrible combat system, frustrating parkour mechanics, and a convoluted (sometimes nonsensical) story. Brotherhood is definitely the best of the three. Revelations' change of setting is welcome but the story just feels like super inconsequential fan service.
