So I am close to the finish line with all the Kirby games. I was very hyped for the first switch title and honestly the first two levels frustrated me. Kirby does what Kibry does all the time. Take a well functioning system and build in a new gimmick. The last times this worked out pretty well but the buddy system made the game even easier.

To be fair, I had my fun with it and it is all in all a good game. Maybe it would be more fun in multiplayer. Kirby is not meant to be a hard game and I often pick those games up to just chill a bit and have some easy gaming but this was really close to no challange at all.

Level design and music is Kirby standard high quality even though it doesn't come close to it's high peaks.

All in all, good game but far from my favourite Kirby entery

Last playtrough was 9 years ago but I remembered a lot of the stuff happening. It didn't age so good but the story is still so damn good.

And again, FFIII changes up a lot. The system goes back to the FFI roots but introducing the job system. First I thought I wouldn't even use it because you have to start over with leveling but the solution with stronger bases were good. But for me there were too many.

Story is also okay but II was better

Fun experience for a lazy sunday playing with my wife. Classic party game for me

So it didn't take me long to catch up on the second installement. I was actually kinda surprised how much they changed in comaprision to the first one.

So let's make this short: a huge + for the story, this was really good. Also a plus for trying to evolve
The big Minus goes to how the new mechanics work. I do not know the original but it seems like they already tried to fix a lot of issues. I think the booster system (which i decided to leave turned off) was important here but I just think it is nonsese to level the LP by attacking youself. Also not cool is to have to level every single spell before you are able to use it properly.

Thank you, Biomutant. You showed me how I can complete the main campaign without doing all the silly side quests.

But no, for real, in the end I didn't even care for the main story and clicked through the dialogues because I wanted it to end.

Let's make it quick. This game has lots of ideas. And it mashes them together. In the first 30 minutes I was already stuffed with information and had no clue wtf was going on. Bulding weapons, bulding armor, building character, magic, guns, swords, bananas, showerheads, modification trash, inner fight of good and evil, aaaaaaaaahhhhhhh!!!!!

Alright, after the turtorial, I took some time to dive into the beautiful world (no joke) the graphics are gorgeous. Also the navigation through the world was quite satisfying for the first impression because movement is fluid and quick. But: Besides the really uninteresting stroy we have something a lot worse to do. The sidequests. Go here, do a riddle that probably a newborn could figure out, or go there, fight some dudes and grab some loot that you won't ever need.
No really there are sooooooo many sidequests. The list was full of them but I just came to a point where I said to myself, Screw them.

So, in conclusion, I bought this game because in the trailer, I liked the concept and the graphics. Well I still do, but the rest is dogshit...

Believe it or not but yes, this was my first touch with Final Fantasy. I struggeled a lot to even start with those games and when I did, it came out of a mood and I cant explain why. SO I started my NES Mini and after maybe an hour i felt like I could enjoy this game but it will take too long. So yes, the Pixel Remaster on the Switch came in very handy. Still the Booster feels like cheating, the maps make the things also a lot easier and I actually appreciate this Remaster with the comfort gimicks a lot. Also soundtrack, esp. The water dungeon is a banger.

The game itsself is nothing groundbreaking but at its time it surely was and it also got me a bit hyped for the franchise. So yeah, Final Fantasy might get a new fan

It feels like Kirby can do it all. After Triple Deluxe was already a masterpiece, they managed to pull it off again. The new feature is robots and this is super cool. The different powers combined with a robo-tank, very cool level design and some new bosses, especially the end make this another outstanding Kirby game.

2022

This is a game I never would have bought, if it was not for this website. Stray appeared on my page over and over again and sometime I thought i could check it out, even though I do not like cats.

This is a cute little game. The first thing that i remarked was, how great the animations and movements of the cat looked. Stroy, visuals and also soundtrack all make this a very solid game, but I still think it was overhyped.

This was an absoulte blind-purchase and when I read that this is only going to be a maybe 2 hours game I thought well then okay, Sunday game.

So first the positives. (only one thing) This game is maybe the first since years that was able to scare me. Only problem, it was mostly with senseless and very cheap jumpscares.

Now to the concept. The riddles and then hide and seek. Cmon guys, have you really ever been in an escape room? Those riddles were a joke, ridiculously easy, its mostly just walking around finding stuff. Then, when you have everything it was time to play hide and seek, yeah very fun duh. I really like to do the stupid riddles again when i loose the hide and seek part which is most likely to happen as in the beginning I had no idea the thing would appear and where I am supposed to go. So yeah. That was wasted money and wasted time. But at least someone planted a tree for me purchasing this copy (at least the game case said that)

It really took me some time to find out whether this was good or not. Now, after I have finished it I still can't tell it absolutely clearly.

So there are two things to say.

First: atmosphere and graphics are absolutely stunning. This game is a blast for the eye. But I did not find this game very scary because it has a lot of gore elements that are way over the top and make it more likely funny than scary. No big deal.

What was a big deal are the boring mechanics. I read some people complaining about too hard. I found the exact opposite beeing the problem. you press left, rigt left, attack, attack, attack, then left, right, left, and so on.

The meele thing was not that bad, it was something new. but it was just very repetitive and really too easy. Guns were only needed for the also very repetetive boss fights.

So yes, I was actually glad this game wasn't longer because I really started beeing bored after maybe 4 hours wich is pretty bad.

Pikmin: The most brutal game experience you can have.
Oh 95 pikmin just died because you dumb ass let them attack the worm from the side? YOU MF ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THAT. Good damn I just wanted a relaxing time after Dark Souls II.

Pikmin "tries" to make things right. They took a great concept and made a sequel. The main idea is copy paste. But: there are two new species that work great. There is a new level system "The Caves", and at least for me, this really dosn't work.
And we get a lot more playtime that I didn't find necessary.
Oh yeah and there is Louie which would be probably great for a second player but I really did not care about him, sorry Louie.

The main problem I have with this game and the reason why I think the original was better, is the new level system. We have the caves where we can go to with limited pikmin. When they die, you loose all the progress. The system reminded me of Pokemon Mystery Dungeon. 1st problem: More pikmin joining a fight means, more pikmin dying in a fight. So I had to often leave them behind while going on a mission with the alpha troup - Purple pikmin. The rest was just fodder for flowers, roadies or waiting for an elementary danger.

2nd Problem. The caves are too long.

3rd problem. After playthrough you unlock another region with huge caves that might double the playtime. Well after story should never be bad but after credit roll around 15 hours i felt like I've had enough and really didn't want to explore those huge caves and it makes me feel bad for not having experienced the whole game.

Almost one year has passed since i accepted the From Soft. challange. And here we are, playing the "black sheep". Well i think, this is a high level black sheep but I can see the problems. But let's talk about my experience.

I hat not the intention to play this game for so fucking long but yeah... What I have to say, only towards the end of the second dlc I felt like, boy I had enough. The second dlc was very hard in comparision with the rest and it felt like, that's it, this is my personal end. The final boss was a little bonus to see the credits roll but wasn't a challange anymore.

I put very much time in this and I grinded ... let's say, accidentally. I also went through in the wrong order so first it was hard, then it was super easy and so on.

Some bosses gave me the, "you must be kiddin dude" moment. others gave me the "huh, that's it?!" vibe. and only some felt like "yeah this is gonna be super easy" (4 hours later) "god damn, why don't you die already?!" (Greeting go out to the mighy fume knight)

Ok, enough trash talk. Is it a good game? - Yes of course.
Does it have mistakes? Yeeeaah a looooot...
Did you have a good time? Sure, I mean why would I spend over 100 hours of my lifetime for something not fun?
Would you recommend? Hahahahaha boy. Are you persistent? Willing to learn and spend some time? Know that you will fail over and over again? Yes? Than go for it! No? Don't touch this.

But there is one thing I want to tell every Fromsoft virgin:
The reputation these games have might scare you off but don't let it fool you. In time and with passion you will GET GOOD ;)

I am currently completing the dex in diamond so I played this for the missing pokemon. As a child I was in team diamond and I will always like Dialga more. Still a great game and def. better than the remakes, which says a lot about the remakes...

Long time has passed since the last time a Mario Strikers released. The Wii version took everything that worked for GC and put it on antoher level. But here I just think they wanted too much. It's not like it is a bad game but I feel like I had way more fun with the older version. (Only played multiplayer so far)
