I think this isn't the worst thing I've played on the Atari but it definitely doesn't hold up at all. I didn't have a ton of fun while playing but I thought it was different and unique.

👀 Peak game protagonist design right here. (6.5/10)

It is insanely basic, just walking around shooting robots and these weird-ass smiley faces that haunt my nightmares, but there is something oddly charming about it. The amount of sound effects here, voice lines played, and the crunch of them did make it more enjoyable, but again, it is still pretty basic as a whole.

Game #271

Considering this is one of the first actual horror games ever made, It does a great job with the overall atmosphere and tone. Putting you in a dark house with Bats and spiders as enemies, and essentially exploring through the blocks that make up what is a house. It does become a bit repetitive remembering where everything is, but it's still a really nice retro horror/terror game. Enjoyed my time with it on Atari 50.

A tightly developed roguelike with great mechanics and well designed enemies that make it fun and fair to go through the game, especially with a friend

I love the pixel art aesthetic to it and I also really enjoy the diverse cast of characters and how well made the levels are, the backgrounds have a really great attention to detail, I also love overpowering the characters with all kinds of abilities and how broken the game can get, which is both a blessing and a curse but I think it works in the game's favor more often than not.

Also the music rules, love all the diverse tracks for the areas and bosses.

The remaster itself is a 8/10, the base game is still fucking mid. Good job nightdive!

I walked into this game with the lowest expectations possible and I was still massively disappointed. It's pretty clear that this game was probably in a finished state a long time ago, and was thrown together quickly for a release with little editing done to bring it up to date. The humor is painfully 2015, none of the NPCs were remotely interesting or even dimensional, there's no meaningful changes to combat except for skill trees, and even the playable characters are flatter and more annoying than the original 4 of the first game.
I should probably give this game another shot, but I just don't have it in me. I can defend the first Dead Island game in a way but this one just felt like a sad cash grab that worked on me.

i love videogames

in fact I live my daily life â…“ of my time thinking about videogames â…“ thinking about furry stuff/drawing things/university exams and â…“ thinking about dick and sex and boys

even though people may not think so videogames are a form of art lately experiences like outer wilds shadow of the colossus fata morgana nier replicant arches really helped me through a lot of stuff happening in my life and even changed my worldview in some cases

this ? this is disgusting absolutely fucking garbage a cashgrab like no other I wish to say that its so bad to make me laugh but this is genuinely the worst of the worst incredibly uninspired just trying to monopolise on youtube playthrough hollow minded content creators grabbing any rubbish with some gripping background to get clicks from people mentally aged at a whopping 8 years old level of intelligence

ok im joking this was too aggressive im not that mad at this but genuinely what the fuck this game has original portal level of environments and it made my gaming personal computer fucking explode can you even believe that

trying to hop on the "mascots for babies are actually scary" train these famously untalented people in the industry just tried a quick clickbait kind of game and somehow succeeded accordingly

if you want you can complete the game in 20 minutes all you're gonna do is go around doing some elementary school level environmental puzzles with a drone and getting eggs around the playground and omg… there's a chasing sequence from a pink bird… so spooky omg omg im so scared I pooped my pants no clickbait this game made me shit my pants 100% real (legendado) andate a cagare coglioni dai I can't say this in english

anyway the art design is purposely uninspired there's assets that you can get fom free on the Internet and the couple of stuff they actually put is abysmal thank you for your effort but you failed

five nights at freddys is a great example of this trope used accordingly . it created a genre it was really original for its time and played a really haunting experience even though kind of janky and king of cheap

this one ? allegedly it's an horror game and I genuinely believe it's a better source of laughter than dread and if you genuinely get scared from this shit don't ever touch silent hill or resident evil and I don't even get scared by those game cmon

in the finale you get a boohoo cliffhanger with a jumpscare omg I shat my pants im so ready for the sequel fuck yourself this is the first and last game in this series im ever gonna play even if garten of banban 9 gets a 4.5 score on this hell site I will never touch it thank you for making this game because my bar got so fucking low that I will now regard saya no uta as a masterpiece bye support me on my furry art twitter

please free my SO she's 50 hours deep still in act 1 and keeps sharing snippits of wanting to fuck the vampire I can no longer reach her

It might polarize some purists with the drastic changes to enemy behavior and balancing, but personally I feel that it and the compass fix Quake II's biggest flaws (being too easy and having tedious exploration at points) and breathe new life into the game that'll be very welcoming to newcomers and veterans that wish the game would be more challenging alike. The new expansion content, ported N64/PS1 content, crossplatform multiplayer, and other bells and whistles are also excellent. Definitely give this one a look even if you didn't care much for Quake II the first time you played it.

it's been a while since I've come near a fnaf game or fnaf in general and it's ENTIRELY a coincidence that it happened after I found out there's a sexy alligator in one of the latest entries something that I may have seen via rule 34 furry gay bara porn as I said a coincidence or maybe shall i say fate

years ago I had an online group chat with so many friends all hyping the series and I kind of miss those times . all in all I've never been the biggest fan of this series but I do get the general appeal and why people would create such strong fanbases over something so mundane

the incipit is pretty simple youre a security guard (?) is that the term maybe night watch is a better term anyway youre a guy who's gotta stay you guessed it five nights at freddys looking after the shut down pizzerias animatronics moving around because theyre in a free roam mode or whatever and all this for the bomb payment of 120$ wow !!!!!!

ok so actually there's a guy on the phone that will explain the current situation and how to deal with the funny anthro animals mascots but what's interesting is the backstory about this since its about an animatronic biting a kid and calling it the bite of some time in the 80s and so they disbanded the pizzeria or something in those lines of thought

sooooooo gameplay wise this is just a "survival" horror game you're gonna work from 12 pm to 6 am and animatronics are gonna try to get you into one of their suits like it's an iron maiden so to help you do that youre gonna sit in your fucking chair for 6 whole ass hours (im saying this like it's a bad thing but I actually do that everyday for like 15 hours) look at your monitor for the different camera recordings in different parts of the pizzeria turn on and off the lights and close doors and push freddys nose on the poster to make a funny sound

this is already kinda chaotic but you gotta add the fact that all this stuff consumes electricity and if you get to 0% that means DEATH TO ALL OF THEM

trying to coordinate all these aspects may be tough at first but you'll get the hang of it soon enough since the animatronics have stereotypical movements that messy baddie chika always comes from the right bonnie from the left foxy is a fucking menace to society and freddie I actually to this day to not 100% understand how he works but I'm fine

mmmmbnmhgrrr not that bad but the horror aspect went out of the window years and years ago for me so youre left with some oppressive and claustrophobic atmosphere and some stress capitalism workload and animatronics who want to kinda fuck you

It's always nice when you play through a game again after nearly 10 years and you end up appreciating the game a bit more!

Is Zelda 1 a hard game to get into in 2023? Absolutely, and I can see why this game would be off-putting to so many people. But, if you can get past the oldness and clunkiness here, you get a game that's incredibly impressive for it's time. It shows a game philosophy that you don't see as often nowadays: a game built around community. A game that's designed to share secrets about it with your elementary school classmates. A pre internet gem. It has it's issues, but in the end it's so charming and unique that I think it's worth going back to nowadays.

i had to stop playing to take care of my son

A really fantastic open world adventure. Visually this game is absolutely stunning. Every location and point on the map is gorgeous and the world balances the imagery of scenic beauty and the harsh effects of war very well.

The games story is pretty straightforward and simple, invading forces quickly take over and the player fights back and builds a resistance to take back their home. It's not bad but it's not really for the first 2/3 of the game. But the end of Act II and all of Act III really ramps it up with lots of twists and dramatic turns that really made the whole thing worth it. It's also where one of the main themes of the game (Honor, change, and what it takes to save your home) that was simmering for the first chunk of the game finally comes to the surface, culminating in a shocking final boss fight and a final difficult choice to determine the ending where both options feel right and satisfying. And that's just the main story! The side stories are also fantastic! The ones involving the other main characters have entire arcs with their own twists and turns, they feel like entire stories within the main story which is amazing. Even smaller side missions help build the world and add to the main themes of the game. After beating the main story I ran into a small open world event that tied into some of the ramifications of the story which I found fascinating. The world truly feels alive, connected, and affected by the story which is something a lot of open world games fail to do.

Of course its not just the story and visuals that make this game fun, it's the gameplay. Combat is extremely smooth and satisfying. You get multiple sty,es to switch between depending on what type of enemy you're fighting which keeps fights from being completely monotonous and as you progress you unlock so many tools, moves and abilities that you can tackle fights in tons of different ways. Exploring the world is also fun, as stated before it's visually stunning and using the wind and birds as way points is brilliant and doesn't clog up the screen with markers. The one negative about this game though is that it falls into the typical open world problem where there's a bit too much side content and collectibles. While getting all of them is by no means required, it still becomes monotonous when you've done what feels like 20 fox shrines and you find yet another. It all just feels a bit like padding/filler that stretched out the playtime.

Still overall this game is absolutely fantastic and there's so many little things on top of what I've already mentioned. Highly highly recommend experiencing this one for yourself.

MISC FINAL THOUGHT: Honestly not sure if they should make a sequel to this. While it would be cool to see Jin go on another adventure with new gameplay additions and places to explore, the story and journey in this are so well done and self contained I kinda feel like it should remain a one and done story. But I guess we"ll just have to wait and see if that's something Sucker Punch decides to do.

Regardless on whether or not you think this remake is necessary (I kinda don't) it was inevitable this was gonna happen, and tbh I'm genuinely glad it did because this might be the best way they went about it.

The gameplay and difficulty are cranked up in a way that makes it flow naturally, going from different set pieces makes the game feel chaotic and fantastic with how well the shooting is and how fluid Leon is with his movement. (The gyro feels weird on console though)

The story is also vastly improved outside of a couple of instances, and the characters are much more natural and have really good banter and dynamics, Ashley feels much better written even if I always liked her character in the original (she was always cute and had a fun personality despite feeling a bit lacking <3)

All and all a great game, I'm very excited to see how Separate Ways goes and the other numbered Resi games.
