something worth mentioning: i will not be ranking separate versions of the same game (i.e. FFIV Advance, FFXII TZA, FFT WOTL, etc.). the list would become unnecessarily bloated and redundant if i did that. FFVIIR is an exception to this rule because it plays so differently and has such a wildly different presentation and plot elements that were not in the original that it is functionally a different game.
