I think there's a growing novelty with old-school poker games, given the medium has basically fully transitioned to an online, mostly mobile format with tons of microtransactions and actual gambling. My roommate found a copy of this game for four dollars on Ebay and the game makes for an infinitely more interesting and safe social activity than any virtual poker platform would nowadays.

It's also really funny that there was a character named Ted Kaye who wore a hoodie

Would have been better if I had people to play local co-op with. There were multiple trolls I found online and the lag sometimes got unbearable.

This game Sucks but I'm a little obsessed

This was so odd because I had multiple friends that were absolutely hooked but I dropped it after an hour

would be so much better if I didn't play with the notoriously awful joy-cons

This game is exactly what I needed as a kid but nowadays it's definitely just too easy and trivial to the point where I could never imagine picking it up again

I'm bad at this game, so don't take my opinion too seriously, but after going to Rise I can't go back. I hate throwing paintballs, loading zones, and the overall inaccessible nature of this title. It is absolutely not pick-up-and-play friendly and is a horrible gateway for newcomers to the series.

This game's goal is unfocused. There's definitely excellence in game development here, given how many playable characters there are with varied movesets and animations. Tons of stages too. You would think this would cater well to a hardcore audience, yet so much of this game contains casual party modes that nobody plays - not even casual fans! The World Of Light mode was a sorry excuse for a story mode and pales in comparison to Subspace Emissary. The Spirits system was abandoned by literally everyone less than a month after the game came out. The online play is HORRENDOUS. Because I'm not a hardcore fighting game player, I found decent novelty in the amount of content honoring Nintendo's legacy, but not much more. I love the My Music feature...Nintendo, you're idiots for not releasing these tracks on DSPs. I would literally rather die than walk around public listening to exclusively smash music with wired headphones while my switch is in sleep mode.

Shoehorned motion controls with no option for classic/gamecube controller was this game's fatal flaw. Otherwise super charming. It basically taught me everything about baseball when I was a kid and I love the story mode so much.

The first game I ever played! It was good!

Super brainless but seeing the variety of characters from different games is decent eye candy

Not as good as I would have hoped. It does nothing to innovate on the traditional JRPG format. I also don't like how Act 3 tries to completely retcon Act 2. This might sound like an odd comparison but if you've played Persona 5 Royal, your motives in act 3 are similar to the final villain's. It just leaves a weird taste in my mouth and certainly didn't help that your skill trees regress as soon as you go back in time. I'm so tired of the repetitive music that plays in every single DQ game (lol rest in piss sugiyama). I liked the characters, though. Erik and Hero definitely have a thing.

Best 2D Zelda game, and has the best approach to nonlinearity thus far. Breath of the Wild needs to take notes from this game's rental system. It works wonders.

Probably my favorite 2D metroid as of now. There's only so much you can do without totally switching up the formula, and I think I still prefer the Prime games, but this is the culmination of everything good with 2D metroid. I hope samus' next 2D outing shakes things up a little bit more though.

I promise I'm not a hater but I just don't feel very strongly about earthbound! It was good, had some funny moments...and then I was done.
