Pretty good game featuring what's probably the best online mode in any racing game in the market. After many years of updates, it feels like it has enough content to justify the (now) low price point but there are a lot of iconic cars still missing and there aren't enough circuits yet (only one city circuit location, really?)
Single player mode is very much half baked and unbalanced but at least it's there.
The game has very weird choices. Shows a clear love for cars with new ultra detailed models and a livery editor displaying high res designs, but you can't just use a free camera or interact with your car a la autovista, you can't side view your car during races and the chase camera feels oddly impersonal, far from the car and almost completely fixed, I feel it disconnects you from your own virtual vehicle.
It's fun however if you're the type of player that just likes to grind times around irl tracks, the driving itself is on point and it's a perfect game to play on controller and I'd imagine it's even better with a wheel
I hope gran turismo 7 gives you a bit more of a personal experience with your car, as for now they feel like something pretty but hollow you just pick depending on the meta for an online race and less like a bit of an interactive, almost tangible digital good you can make "yours" like in the more recent forza games. Even in earlier GT games, oil change/car wash gave it a bit of interaction to show some love to your favorite car
And as a side note, not allowing the player to pick any car they want for the arcade mode but rather the ones they own with a game with this much grind is a crime. If i want to lap around monza with an enzo i should be allowed to without having to grind for it.

genuinely have always believed those who act like this is the second coming of christ are merely larping and never even finished it

Has enough variety between events and cars to keep things interesting, vehicles really do feel different from each other and your vehicle choice becomes a decisive factor in whether you'll get platinum or not. The cities look very nice, the driving model is on point and the kudos system makes taking each turn a lot of fun.
Only downsides imo are how some races feel unbalanced, particularly when both superbikes and supercars are in the mix, and there not being enough tracks. I also wish the tracks had day/night options and that you could change your vehicle within an arcade challenge instead of exiting to the main menu.
Also the bikes are so much fun to ride, wish more racing games had bikes.

There's so much to love here, just looking at it as some closed circuit arcade racer might sound boring but that is just the surface, there's a lot to see here. Game design that is simple but elegant yet detailed enough to transmit a lot of sensations to the player.
That bold vibration on gear change along with brief exhaust flames, the geometrically simple interior but with just enough camera motion to make it feel scary when you're going very fast, the little sound effect when you're earning kudos, the speedometer UI changing depending on the car, the animations of the bike riders interacting with the cars and the crowd and I could go on and on.

Beautiful game, one of the best racers of the 7th gen, absolutely in love with it.

No reason for this to exist other than making the devs gamepass money from people interested in cyberpunk or coop games only for them to delete this shortly after they realize how utterly soulless it is

playing this absolutely blind on release, thinking it was just gonna be gears meets cod and then seeing it take an U turn was a one of a kind experience that those people who only got to play it after getting spoiled by the game's reputation built by those pseud youtube video essays will never understand

i'm convinced rise and shadow merely exist to be featured in gpu benchmark videos

one of those games that are closer to a framework than just a game. essential to keep you on the grind and featuring infinite hours worth of content through both licensed dlc and custom songs
even with all its flaws it's easily the best thing ubi has dropped in the last decade, an invaluable practicing tool

filters the low iq and features the best mercenaries mode in the franchise

got so spooked i uninstalled
and i never get spooked

the grind was unbearable and the balance was non existent, like at this point just buy mw or carbon

enhanced version of a fantastic game, but i'd suggest going for NXEngine instead for the 16:9 experience with multiple save slots
