WHAT THE FUCK THIS GAME IS ON HEREEE?!??! okay, genuinely love this game so much. the chat-based interface is so fun and i wouldve been fine with just that, but the video calls?! SOOOO cool. i loved all the characters, main and side. the love interests are very human and relatable, which makes the good endings so so enjoyable (and the bad endings so SOUL CRUSHING). bloomic has a special place in my heart because i LOVE the free romance visual novels on itchio, and it felt like i hadnt found one i could get really into for a good while. one of the things i really enjoyed was the choices; i feel like with a lot of other visual novels i played, it was pretty obvious which choice would get you to the good end and which would get you to the bad end. in bloomic, it felt like i had to have a real understanding of the characters to know how to handle their situations. ive had this instinct to react a certain way, but its just not realistic to expect the same response to have the same effect on different people. anyway my weekly "thank you" to mike young for voicing xyx God bless

i'm in the middle of my seven route run as of writing this so this isnt a complete log BUTTT i enjoy this game. obligatory mention about all the paywalls; i bought a couple hourglasses just to top me off so i could do deep story but i really dont like the fact you either have to spend a bunch of time grinding for hourglasses OR pay money to get the hourglasses just so you can play the other routes. other little annoyances are the chat speed being too slow even on its fastest speed (you CAN buy the ability to use max speed for like $3 but id like to go through the chats quickly without immediately skipping to the dialogue choices) and having to replay through the entire first few days if you dont want to spend hourglasses skipping to where the game branches off. either one of these on their own is like.... whatever. but both of them just makes for a really grueling replay experience, even when im going for a different route.
while not an explicit romance, i felt like jaehee's route was the most enjoyable. it felt like a connection formed from actually getting to know a person compared to a lot of the guys who focus more on mc being cute. do i enjoy the other routes / characters ? of course. seven is a close second fave; his behavior and way of speaking are very reminiscent of someone i would be friends with, so its easy to like him. zens route... was something. i like zen ill admit, but responses that typically appeal to him put me off so bad LOL. while i havent done their routes yet, i only like jumin when hes talking about his cat and i find it hard to like yoosung. i remember liking yoosung when i first played the game, so i suppose ive just grown out of that character type.
what else to mention about a game i havent finished... i do enjoy the phone calls / text messages outside of the chats. its funny finishing a chat, immediately getting a phone call, and then getting a text message while in the middle of said call. I LOVE TEXTING AND COMMUNICATING THROUGH PHONES IN GAMES !!!!

tbh i still enjoy the papa's games (i have a few on my phone) and while i know there are ways to play old flash games it was nice to just simply purchase a game and have it on my computer. plus it has the extra features of the newer games that the original freezeria doesn't have. it's definitely one of those games that ill play a lot in multiple sessions and then put it off for a while, but thats simply the way i play open-ended games like these. its real easy to get into the rhythm of things and it's a lot of fun to see how quickly you can get an order done while also striving for 100% perfection. obviously a lot of buyers are people who played the original games but i do think its fun on its own without the nostalgia factor :D

i have my gripes with this game but for the most part i rlly enjoyed it. i really like games where youre an older sibling / parental figure and ur choices indirectly and directly influence the younger person ur with. also as a younger sibling it was just fun to take on the role of an older sibling but also its kinda scary to think about how influential u can be without meaning to. idk cool game i like how we dont play as the character with superpowers it adds more stress and drama in my opinion
I LOVEEEEE THIS GAME I LOVE U RESIDENT EVIL 7 BIOHAZARD. i was kinda influenced because i played it years after release so it was only "the most super scary game of all time" in my head but it was pretty scary. i did scream a few times. im so obsessed tho i love the ambience of it all. and i love ethan i wish dads were real
