My ratings:
5 stars - One of my favorites and I will replay it every now and then.
4 stars - Really enjoyed my time with it and I would recommend it.
3 stars - It was fun /interesting (enough).
2 stars - I didn't really enjoy my time with it and I would not recommend it.
1 star - I hated it and have usually stopped playing before even being far enough into it to be able to give it a star rating, but I'm petty about it.
no rating - I played a part of the game but abandoned it quickly (usually within a few hours), because it wasn't my kind of thing.

Sadly abandoned after about 3-4 hours of playing.
The voice acting is great and I love the pet companion dynamic. The story is intriguing. I like finding little notes along the way, asking people for information through the mail, having good conversations with your cat and the merchant! There are lots of optional side-quests too (although they are mostly 'create x of this' and 'collect y of this' in the first few hours).
Unfortunately some other aspects keep me from playing. The controls are extremely clunky and this game didn't feel good playing with mouse/keyboard or a controller. Harvesting materials is very a tiring act of trying to move your cursor to just the right parts. I started dreading having to interact with stuff. The inventory management, the work stations, moving stuff around... it all was unintuitive and frustrating for me.
A more personal reason for not liking it more, was the survival aspect. There's a hunger bar, so you need to eat. I dislike having to pay attention to that, especially because it means building up an efficient always-food-ready-system in your gameplay that removes a sense of relaxation. Sometimes I'm fine with doing that, but because the controls made harvesting and interacting with the stove an annoyance, it tested my patience.
Also, the exploration is limited by having to wear a mask to prevent suffocation. Every exploration session is guided by looking at how many minutes of air you have left. As far as I could find in the settings, there is no mini-map. So often I was hurrying, losing my way, once again having to navigate the difficult controls to go to the menu to access the bigger map. It just limited my exploration excitement.
Overall, if you don't mind survival aspects in your games, and you're easy-going with controls, you might really enjoy what this game has to offer. It's with sadness that I'm abandoning it, because the story is mysterious & the world map seems big and there might be cool things out there once you open up more of it. I'm not forcing myself to get as far as that, though.
