Either my L1 button is on the way out or this game was screwing with me. Got to a boss where the only way to fight was to hack missiles he fired, yet I couldn’t consistently return them. Half the time it wouldn’t register I was trying to hack them. Tried rebinding the action and it didn’t help so I think this is an issue with the game. Oh well, campaign wasn’t great.

Pretty good at what it does. Combat has some difficulty spikes but nothing insurmountable.

Translation got progressively more stilted as the game went on, to the point some dialogue made little sense, but honestly, I wasn’t here for the story.

Visuals are nice throughout, solid art direction. Some texture loading hitches I expect from UE but pretty smooth aside from that.

Overall an enjoyable game, just wish getting back to earlier areas didn’t take so long.

All around pretty good, but the ending is totally unearned. The parents are awful people and never improve, how am I supposed to buy in to the narrative?

Game itself was a lot of fun to play, a few early bosses aside.

Can we talk about how uncomfortable the literal murder sequence is? Murder sims don’t even make you feel this bad about what you’re doing

What a game. A very satisfying mystery to unfold, just all around great.

Huge step up from Stories Untold. Great atmosphere, presentation, everything.

Glad I revisited this after ignoring it in release. Chock full of QTEs which, with distance from that era of games isn’t as awful, but to basically have an over the top interactive shōnen anime isn’t something I knew I wanted

Fun to break a game because it added stealth and they forgot to account for it in the enemy AI

That… was a mess. Disjointed story, rough combat, just a weird broken mess

Some puzzles were beyond me but jeez, the way it all comes together is great

This game has atmosphere in spades and knows it. The visuals and soundtrack are moody and take advantage of their limitations in a really nice way.

I was not prepared for the second loop (of an apparent 3?!) being one death only. Don’t think that’s something I’ll be achieving here as I had plenty of deaths on my first run.
