He misunderstood the tragedians...
A 2-3 hour experience that toys with you, waving futility in your face, taunting you, and daring you to persevere anyway... something Pathologic has always excelled at. Playing as the Bachelor is never not a treat, his dialogue is as funny as ever while still managing to be unsettling in context. The gameplay is a nice way to get used to mechanics before diving into Pathologic 2, and the story it has to tell deviates enough from what we have come to expect from previous Pathologic entries that it feels like a fresh experience.
If you love Pathologic, or want to explore something a little bit different in the survival horror genre that prioritises storytelling over mechanics, then The Marble Nest is definitely worth playing. Just expect a difficulty hike if you go from The Marble Nest to Pathologic 2!

I have been playing Inquisition every year since it released in 2014. It was my first Dragon Age game, and the first game I ever bought for the PS4. Across several platforms I have racked up at least 1000 hours and I am still nowhere near bored. Inquistion sparked a passion in games and storytelling that I didn't posses before and has been the largest source of comfort and enjoyment for me during the past eight and a half years by a long shot. For me, it is the most important game I have played, it has shaped me into the person I am today and no matter where the series goes from here, I will forever be grateful to BioWare and it's creators for working so hard to provide a game so full of heart and creativity to the world.
If I'm having a hard day, I know I can always gather my small party of friends and venture out into the vast and varied open worlds within Inquisition and find joy in discovering details that I always seemed to miss in previous playthroughs. Dragon Age: Inquisition is a bold and ambitious RPG with a world so detailed and complex that you can't help but feel drawn into it, and drawn into it I will stay for many more years to come. Thank you, BioWare.
