story is pretty cool, lillith is a fucking cool ass villain. the graphics are phenomenal for ARPG standards. Classes are pretty "simple", and there aren't that many builds yet. Once you complete the story, the grind really starts, and you start repeating a lot of the same types of content. I hate how slow side quests can be, especially because of unskippable dialogue cutscenes.

story and characters were phenomenal.

definitely feels like a polished ARPG, it has a lot of potential and the skill system is pretty a) easy to understand b) in-depth, which is hard to achieve that balance, take for example, Path of Exile in which it's so in-depth but really tough to try and wrap your mind around builds.

i typically ignore ARPG stories, this one included, but the environments and the way you "skip" through time is pretty sick.

not as smooth as nioh/2, but definitely has its place. it's feels like an easier Sekiro with all the parrying and riposting you must do.

the online co-op was so janky in terms of network connection - totally unlike nioh's co-op. hopefully later patches fix this.

while the game starts off slow, it has a really good way of pulling you back in. go deep into a challenging area, have no way to go further in, get some ability or create a shortcut. lots of backtracking, but so worth it.
felt guilty looking stuff up, but there's a lot to the game and you can get stuck if you're not paying attention. the music, the characters, the story are all great. the movement gets really nice, fighting is challenging.

story and gameplay are pretty on point. still needs some polish, but overall great experience. kind of annoyed at the number of times you fight some bosses.

very fun and promising system. i used mods to cut down on the worst parts (hauling and dragging things around, getting around the map). otherwise, the automation systems are so fun to use. unfortunately, if you forget to connect a piece, your 100 miners will dump thousands of particles onto the floor and ruin your FPS.

DMC3 is a really fun experience, once you get past the controls and the early PS2 jank (played via Steam). If you can get a controller to natively work with the game instead of mapping keyboard to controller, do it. Once I got used to the keyboard I started having a LOT more fun. The bosses are solid and a great challenge.

2019

immersive and challenging survival game. takes a lot of time and energy. really creepy atmosphere. better with a full (4) party.

2017

nostalgic and fun movement-based game.

2021

great little immersive adventure into my favorite Lovecraft short.

really faithful to the simplicity of the stepmania formula. it's like if OSU's 4key mode went standalone.

more like back 4 dogshit. it's like if you were playing left 4 dead, but worse. special infected are so overtuned because they want you to play for longer.
