At its core, the game really is just a fancy looking pedometer, but it's the stuff you get to do BECAUSE you decided to take that walk through the park or the neighborhood that really makes this worth checking out. My only complaint is that the game is really confusing when it comes to getting the special Seedlings because you'll swear on your life that Seedling came from a restaurant, but the game says it's a Roadside Seedling. Not really a big deal, but I'd prefer my Pikmin collection not be filled with Pikmin with a simple sticker on their head. Overall, though, definitely check this out and maybe it'll slither its way into your daily routine like it has for me.

Come on, man, it’s Doom, what do I need to say that hasn’t been said already? Truly a master class of gaming, as well as the genre it helped create alongside Wolfenstein 3D. Level design and enemy placement does get a little wonky once you get into the later episodes, but the silky smooth gameplay and badass soundtrack personally made me bear it a lot more. This game is historic for a reason, and it is absolutely worth your time to find out why.

I’ve been playing this game for years, and I will say: this game is not for everyone. But if you’re able to sink at least a little time into your first couple of runs, I promise you this game is gonna take over your life. I’ve played Terraria for upwards of 1000 hours combined from my time on Mobile, Xbox 360, and PC, and I’m STILL finding new ways to play the game. If you’re able to get past the slow pace of the beginning of a run and the absolute grindfest that’s the end of the game, you’ve got a real golden goose of a Metroidvania on your hands.

As much as I like to sing this game's praises, such as its very fast-paced and engaging mechanics and its great soundtrack, I just as much like to acknowledge its shortcomings. No voice acting, lots of unused content that very well should have been in the game at launch, and general poor presentation hold this game back. I have no doubts this isn't the fault of the developers, though, so I'll be checking back in when an update or two releases.

The reveal trailer Nintendo put out for this game definitely didn't do it justice. This game is super damn fun and a blast to play with friends. A couple sweaty opponents here and there but chances are you'll be too busy laughing your ass off at your character flying back with the force of a thousand suns after being clocked in the face with a ball.

For pure shits and giggles, I decided to beat the Japanese version of this game since I own an authentic cartridge of it. There's a 90% chance you know about this game for its SNES-shattering OST, and it is without a doubt the best part of this game. As much as I love Plok, though, the actual game itself can be hit or miss with its levels. I'm still praying my boy gets another shot in the video game industry one day.
