Mechanically crazy when it comes to the new abilities. Soundtrack is beautiful sometimes too.

Banger soundtrack, clever and fun levels design, and full of eye candy. Only downside ;( Might just be that I have been playing 2d Mario for over two decades but it still felt really easy at times.

I didn’t get to fully play the original version until the release of 3D All-Stars. Coming from someone who grew up with the DS version, this version plays satisfyingly thanks to the analog stick. There’s also just something charming about polygonal Mario in polygonal mushroom kingdom. One of Koji Kondo’s best works come from this game.

Sincerely, this game was a treat as a Sinnoh kid. So many references to characters, settings, etc from gen 4 and the way the creation trio lore is more developed is cool. Also of course, the new gameplay mechanics are really fun and make a for a brand new Pokémon experience.

Super Kirby Odyssey. But fr tho, 3D open world Kirby collect-a-thon is pretty badass and is full of surprises.
