I got suckered by the demo... the game itself got very tedious very fast. At the end I was skipping cutscenes like a motherfucker. The kaiju fights were badass, I have to admit, and some elements are truly masterful. Otherwise it's just a numbingly overwhelming mashup of every european myth/belief system with a very japanese gameplay. Over the top, but it's just too much.

Wow, a sequel that is not worse than the first game! Not better much neither, at least story-wise, but the visual fidelity is bumped up a few notches. It was a thrilling experience. I have 2 trophies left from the platinum, so might pick it up later.

2022

Fucking speedrun trophy. Anyway, this one was great. Sony made me pay for their darned ps plus extra service because of this game, but it was worth it. The world was a little empty with only those robots, but of course it made sense story-wise. I just need a dog sequel now!

Man, I'm getting too old for these endless open world games... on top of that there's just too much visual, auditive and textual clutter, too many details, not enough direction. Gameplay feels tedious as hell - get in your ship, open the starmap blablabla; put on your helmet, because god forbid there's an auto function for that; etc. Story is kind of recycled as well. Music and design is pretty, though. But this is reeeally far from GOTY. Oh and those botoxed motion captures... they worked in Skyrim, but the resolution and the detail is just too high now for it to not be uncanny valley. (It's still better on launch day than Cyberpunk was.) Story has some highs, but more lows. Sidequests are more fun, but man I'm tired of the constant docking, landing loadingscreens. It's boring, that's what it is!

I wouldn't neccessarily call it a game, more like a multimedia experience or something, but thank god for ps plus for giving us cool indies like this! Very laid back experience.

"Free" ps plus game... looks very cinematic, but it's just boring as fuck. I hate these. They should have the decency to look crap as well.

They don't make'em like these anymore :(

If you don't play it through in a couple of days, you'll forget what it's about and it won't make sense. Which has happened to me...

Great art direction (albeit a lot of it is stolen from the Diablo series), nice music, okay-ish lore/story, repetitive and overlong gameplay.

2017

Walking sim with lots of snowy athmosphere. The "puzzles" are counterintuitive though.

You can't ever "finish" Diablo, can you? Same old grindy addictive pseudo RPG as before, but with nicer graphics and bad usage of the controller (MK doesn'T really translate in this game, it was better implemented in D3).

Pleasant surprise, not original enough but well made.

Walking sim with nice design and simplistic story.

JESUS FUCKING GOD is this a fucking great game!!! It's pure literature but wrapped up in a video game.

Man, I don't really know anymore why we loved these games... it's boring as fuck. Maybe it's because I'm a grownup and I have a car now, but all the driving just... sucks.
