i wanted to love this game. and for a time, i really did like it! the beginning is magical and you feel like the world is your oyster. but purely procedural generation means the universe is a mile wide and an inch deep. i lost the desire to explore when i realized there wasn't anything real to find, just random permutations of algorithmically generated settings.

really fun and engaging game, but bugs with finding bodies made me put it down. really do recommend though, the gameplay loop is super engaging and enjoyable. i just had some issues that made me shelve it for now

really fun, gameplay loop is super engaging and allows for lots of experimentation. definitely worth your time

unfortunately, i got burned out on this one before finishing it. if you like the slower vibe of riding your horse across beautiful landscapes this is definitely for you. but the gameplay loop is a lot slower-paced than other open-world games, and so for someone with adhd i ended up struggling to engage with it after a while. if you're more patient than me and like roleplaying, you'll probably love it

haven't finished this one yet. i like parts of it a lot, but the focus on exploration and parkour over lightsaber combat isn't for me personally. it feels like you have to trudge through the world just to get to the fun parts.

played this the first time before all the updates, and stopped playing on tails' island because I got bored. came back after all the updates. momentum is drastically improved and the action challenges are enjoyable extra content. the game is still flawed at its core. tails' island still sucks, pop in is still annoying, and the camera being hijacked to 2d is EVIL. but it's gone from 3 stars to 4 stars game with the updates..

really fun, just worse in retrospect when compared to tears of the kingdom. it's too bad because this game is great but totk improves on the formula it establishes in so many ways

this is a reallly fun game. it's better than botw in every regard. but i'm autistic and can't play it right. to enjoy it you need to zone out and be in a "flow" state where you're just moving between experiences. but i always need to stay organized, and so i end up doing things in a specific order which isn't conducive to the best experience. i'll come back to this at some point and put in the time to finish it.

tldr: good game, i just didn't finish it bc i'm autistc

really improved on the original sun and moon for me. it's been years since i played it so it might have been worse than i remember, but the added content helped a lot to enhance the original game. in an ideal world it would've been an update to the original game, but for what it is it's a definite improvement

pretty good honestly. pokemon games are quite similar to each other but i liked this one a lot. however the lack of post-game content meant there just wasn't much to do after beating the main story.

damn good honestly. i wish this was the formula pokemon games continued to use, because the faster pace of this one made it way more enjoyable in terms of pacing. not everything it tries works and you may prefer an older pokemon game, but at least this one is trying to change.

liked this one a lot, just too short in my opinion. i thought i'd be able to play it for a week or two, but i finished it in just a few days. i guess there wasn't that much more to expand on and it's better to be a short game than a bloated one, but i still would've liked a few more levels

this is a very good game, but it gets very punishing after the main story. thankfully that content is optional so it doesn't detract from the main experience. if you like that kind of punishing gameplay that's fine, it just doesn't appeal to me.
