Absolutely loved this game! It is definitely my favourite and playing it on the hardest difficulty on ng+ was an amazing challenge. Can’t wait for the next game in the franchise!

This game was the first soulsborne game that I played and boy I was not ready for what this game put me through. The first few hours are really challenging for new players but once you have mastered the combat, with enough patience this game can actually be quite easy. When you start a second play through you obliterate the first bosses like they are nothing. Definitely worth a play through and maybe one day I’ll give the dlc a go.

Damn! This game is a masterpiece from start to finish. Every character is well written and this game is probably the most detailed game I have ever played. Arthur Morgan is definitely in my top ten favourite characters

Loved this game when I was younger and need to finish it off

HFW improves on everything the first one did well. Aloy is becoming such an iconic character along with the likes of Nathan Drake and Lara Croft. The new map is just beautiful, and I went out of my way to not fast travel just so I could fully enjoy what the developers have done. The story was definitely better here, with certain plot elements being a huge surprise. All of the characters and locations are phenomenal. Plainsong is definitely my favourite place.

A few things I really enjoyed were the animations, right down to even the small side quests! It gave more flavour to the world as you explored it. I loved all the new machines, and on harder difficulties, they are just great to plan and take down. I’m looking forward to whatever comes next.

2004, best friend says “I got it” we rush home from school and get ready for the next instalment to Prince of Persia.

In hindsight, the game is emo and definitely tried to be “darker” but I don’t care, I loved it and still do. I loved the combat and the locations you traverse in, the opening to this game is just….

I liked the idea and concept of this game, it’s normally a game I’d enjoy more but the gameplay mechanics are just outright silly and gimmicky. I did enjoy the historical characters making an appearance but overall, man…it was so boring.

"I Chose More...I Chose The Impossible...I Chose Rapture."

It all began with a plane crash and a lighthouse... BioShock has one of the most marvellous openings of any recent video game. Taking the bathysphere down to the depths and witnessing Rapture in all its Art Deco glory is something that anyone who’s played it will remember. It’s a false promise of freedom and a threat of unimaginable violence.
Playing as Jack, this outsider, this mysterious figure, walks the streets of Rapture while Atlas whispers into your ears, asking you to kindly find the tyrannical Andrew Ryan.

The gameplay is slick, I’ve always enjoyed the way it plays, and I love that cutscenes are almost non-existent. It’s just you and Rapture, and although it’s a linear game, it feels so open. There are many standout moments, the mental and bizarre artistic savagery of Sander Cohen, the surgical violence and bedlam of J.S. Steinman, the lumbering hulks that are the big daddies, the quiet whispering of the little sisters, and many more wonderful locations, that will blow you away!

One of the best games ever made.

Played this loads growing up, my first GTA game. It’s rough around the edges and it hard to go back and play these days as I find GTA 2 makes it obsolete. It’s cool for people to go back and see where it all started, don’t expect much but it’s still has a fun factor.

Firewatch is a great departure from the warfare and violence that I’d been playing at the time of playing this game. Firewatch starts off with grief, and as a care worker, I just immediately felt a connection to Henry as I’d seen his case hundreds of times. As you start the game, you are in a serene and almost untouched beautiful forest. The game strips away everything apart from your own thoughts as a player and Delilah.
This was the best part for me. I liked that for most of the time, the game is just you building this friendship/relationship with this woman in the adjacent watch tower. I looked forward to talking to her. It was so organic.

The game is linear but has a level of autonomy on a small scale: of what you say or omit. A wedding ring left on? Or off and the level of comfort you find in a stranger. This all builds up to the small world building of this patch of forest.

Things begin to escalate, and when they do, it gets dark quickly. Some moments literally made my spine shake. It’s a story of love and the isolation that Henry feels, which is beautifully shown through the setting. And when your own spouse doesn’t recognise you, is it okay for Henry to seek refuge in a stranger in a faraway tower?
