unironically love feeling pressured and stressed and DD2 just hits the sweet spot of making u feel like shits not sweet but at the same time making u feel like u have a glimmer of hope

saucy jack debuts on the big screen
Scary how well this game aged…
The pinnacle of the Metal Gear series, a perfect sequel and my favorite game.
Take everything MGS1 did and make it even better, to the gameplay, the fantastic graphics, a hell of a soundtrack (Yell Dead Cell is stuck on my brain 24/7) and the peak writing, MGS2 redefined for me what a sequel should be, taking every single advantage and opportunity of being one to further strengthen its core themes.
i told ya i loveeed the 4th wall breaks in the MGS1 review… but holy shit they went all out in this one, pulling every single dirty trick they could just so the player can feel as confused and disoriented as Raiden.
The player himself was involved in MGS1 but in this one? We are playing as Raiden and we are quite literally Raiden, the rookie who got just got done playing MGS1 through VR missions and is “ready for the real thing”.
A DUD⁉️

metal gear?
MGS1 has been praised to hell and back and it deserves every single one of those praises.
From the voice acting, to the cinematography, the music, its revolutionary gameplay, you can tell every single part of this game was made with passion and love.
loooove how the 4th wall breaks make you feel more connected to Snake, as if the player himself is a part of this story.
Reading the back of the box to see Meryl’s codec number, switching controller ports, Psycho Mantis reading your saved data and even Liquid calling Snake and the player out about them “enjoying all the killing”, they all serve their own purpose and add up to this feeling of the player having more impact on the story and gameplay.
loved watching my dad play it when i was kid

people come and they go…
my first persona experience and god what a game…
-soundtrack is top tier
-amazing and well acted characters
-moment to moment gameplay is great ( love persona negotiations)
- UI is the definition of style
it would have been perfect for me, if not for a few questionable romance decisions and some classic atlus writing

“The oldest and strongest emotion of mankind is fear, and the oldest and strongest kind of fear is fear of the unknown“
-H.P Lovecraft
During a certain point in the game, you have to drop the Brain of Mensis down into a lightless abyss, to get a certain precious item, you have to drop down to the abyss and take it.
As i was descending down the elevator cage, things began to get darker and darker until the floor and the surrounding became pitch black;
After equipping the lantern, i began my exploration of the vast area, not knowing what would lie ahead…
Little by little, the lantern lighting each part of the horrendous thing, i encountered the Brain, just sitting there, eyeing me with all its glory.
At first, i couldn’t even begin to comprehend what i was looking at, a huge blob of meat with eyes and chains scattered about, and to top it all off, in the vast darkness of the pit.
I felt like i was losing my mind, i had to pause the game and just…stare at it for a few minutes. That’s when i realized this game is special. To intricately connect both gameplay and story telling, to weave the feeling of being helpless against the unknown and make the player himself feel it?
Bloodborne is one of the most special and scary games i have ever played, not because of what you can see, but because of what you can’t.
