whenever someone says something like "i know the game is bad but the story is so good" or "its objectively bad but i still like it" im just kind of sad
like this game has more interesting design choices than most AAA games and most of them work really well for me
the story is incredible well written and this comes from someone who usually doesnt care about stories in video games
the only thing that i really dont like about it are its technical issues
each version of the game comes with its own problmes but its worth it

i had absolutely no expectations yet it still managed to disappoint me

just a really fun ride with some really cool ideas that arent special at all but make up for a nice single player experience
im not a fan of cover shooters but when its only 5-6 hours long and not a complete mess such as inversion im in for it

the plot is bad and there are way too many cutscenes that drag on forever
but especially the first 5 hours are so amazing
kind of sad that certain areas in the game are nothing more than looking around and doing some lame mini games and these parts of the game are just unnecessary filler bullshit
but the good parts are REALLY good i promise you

once i accepted the fact that this is not only a psychological horror rpg and instead more of a wholesome rpg (at least up until the last 4 hours or so) i enjoyed the shit out it
sure there are parts of the game that i really do think are kind of boring or that i feel like are nothing special
and i have to admit that it took more than 15 hours until i really loved it
but there are just so many amazing boss fights, a good handful of fun dialouge and interesting characters
and the mystery surrounding the plot really kept me going on even though i was kind of disappointed at first
highly recommend it

i just have a weakness for games like that
played it 4 years ago which is a pretty long time but i guess i'd still enjoy it especally because these characters are so fun to watch
sadly the combat completely lacks in depth and is repetitive as hell

i had way more fun than i expected but its lack in depth is so disappointing to me
like waiting until three enemies are near a red barrel and then shooting it is fun for the first few minutes until all the arena fights become so boring because your abilities are extremely limited
but i still really like this kind of fantasy style it has

currently playing (but already finished the 2011 one of course) but holy shit why do the character models have to look that terrible
imo the whole game looks far worse than the original which is fucking sad because people keep saying how great it looks but this new realistic approach is the reason why it looks so strange and ugly
UPDATE: so this game made my pc crash every time i started it and it's the first game ever where i experienced an issue similar to this
so even though i'm pretty sure you won't have the same problem i do not recommend this massive pile of garbage
