the progression in this game is done really well!! the story is interesting and you can save whenever, which lets me play thru as much story as i want -- handles "bad" endings and good endings in a way that makes none of them feel, like, genuinely fucked up for existing as an ending and that allows for a truly happy ending if you want to look for it -- idk i just think this game is done really well!
cubivore feels almost heartfelt.... i feel like, while it has some boring things to say, it has the potential to have some interesting thoughts as well. a very charming game, and one where every level i play and track i listen to and experience i have with it only endears it to me more -- a game where i care about whether my creature lives or dies or takes damage
i love the creature designs so so so much!! i played this as a kid and i still think about the vivosaur designs frequently
the ost for this game is burned into my brain..... i enjoy playing this game c: BUT it's music got me through a bad workplace and back into thinking about games, what they're trying to say (and what they say without thinking), and what i think and feel about the games i play. its fun! the music fucking rules!!!!!!!!!!
i think the way this game designs pinball levels is new and interesting!! and the creatures are interesting and fun without being weird cultural stereotypes
theres just something different about being able to hit the buttons and screen read the way it was intended!! it feels great!! its fun!! i love playing project diva ft arcade!!
it is true that this is not a particularly thought out port of the arcade version!! but its the first game i could play and i can play it whenever and i've played so much project diva, i love this game,
another game about creatures where i care about the creatures involved, the creature are creative, the game is fun, and the music come together to create a great atmosphere. ultimate little guys
the sprites in this game make me want to genuinely catch and use every pokemon!!
ive played this game ten million times and of the games i played over and over as a kid this one feels the best to me
this game one of the biggest issues i have in actually playing games: i dont feel capable of setting aside hours of time to play a game, and this game lets me play little bits of it. the dates are charming! the characters are charming! the concept is charming! i really like this game!!
"first" rhythm game, got me thru one of the deepest depressions ive had, simple and fun, got my friends to play it, and a key piece of meeting my now girlfriend -- this game has had a lot of value in my life and it fucks also
i loooooooooooove when games are about specific types of interpersonal dysfunction where everybody's trying and everybody's failing and everybody's hurting each other in ways so specific to context you have to sit down and explain the entire history or your relationship and what you know about the other person to explain why something was off or hurt you, and this game definitely gives me that!!
this game just feels fun to play!! its easy to pick up and has a good song variety and you feel cool playing it!! wacca engages my brain just right so i fall into rhythm game trance and focus on the notes completely and it rules!!
the concept of this game is just neat! it gives me more than just "theres a relationship in it," it lets me build and foster the relationship and do something thoughtful for my plant girlfriend who i care about and want to not only be able to come over but truly feel at home in my space that i want to share with her -- and theres fucking gba monsterfolk in it!!
