2014

Played the demo and that was all I needed. Play dishonored instead, it's not worth your time. Lame gameplay, poor optimization and long loading screens. Really not "next gen" (or even previous gen).

Every day I regret buying this ripoff of a game. And every day I regret buying the season pass even more.

The definitive Smash game. Nuff said. Add Waluigi for 5 Stars.

GOAT Game. I miss when Lego games didn't have dialogue.

The art style of this game is incredible and is truly a marvel to behold. I just wish there was some form of difficulty adjustment so I could explore everything the world of Cuphead has to offer. While challenging, the game is rewarding. However, I am continuously frustrated how the game employs randomness to encounters with bosses. It never feels like I beat a boss because I got better with the game (which you do improve over time, no doubt), but rather because I got a lucky round where the attacks didn't hit as hard/weren't as difficult. I know this is standard for video game design, but with a game like this where you can't change the difficulty, I often found myself restarting a boss because a certain attack pattern was more difficult than the previous one. Regardless, the music is also fantastic and relevant for the time period this game encompasses. It's incredible for an indie team (bravo to them), just wish the game either had difficulty levels or had more fair encounters. Either way, worth ya $20

Cool mechanic and excellent execution. Wish there was more.

Armor abilities are unbalanced but this is the second best Halo game.

Arkham Asylum but improved! Great batman game. Influenced many action games with its innovative combat.

2016

This game felt a bit too mid, too serious, and lacking in combat variety. Just meh overall.

First person stealth action done right. Cool graphical art style.

If you want to disappear and live your fantasy in a medieval-magical world, this is the game for you. As soon as you complete the intro and create your own character, the world of Skyrim is yours, and you choose your story. This makes the game very replayable. The graphics and combat are a bit outdated at this point, but the world is rich with lore to rival the deepest of Tolkien's works. Just go out and enjoy the adventure.

A quirky and odd game. Didn't know what to expect going in, but the story really grew on me over time. I really appreciated the option to skip past the puzzle aspects of the game, giving the player freedom on what they want to focus on (the puzzles or the story). Also what other game has 13 endings??
