Story is fun but because it's a gacha game I can never manage to keep up with the constant content that it's pumping out. At least the songs are fun and it keeps an archive of events.

Man, so much potential but a victim of game crunch. Let it be a lesson that rushed games are never great.
Nostalgic game, the ds mini games are great. Great to rope in siblings, cousins, and friends to play with
For someone that doesn't like math or understand much of the nuances, I was able to enjoy this a lot! The music is great and (for the DS version) while having to replay through it is tedious, the story and ending is all worth it. Learn about magic square numbers and the basics of Sudoku before playing it though. Trust me.

I actually didn't know the whole thing was LITERALLY going inside Bowser. Wild ass story, love it.
Typical girls game with mini games, the naming system is kinda fun but that's it. I still have the cartridge with me though.

The announcers voice is stuck forever in my head forever. The one on Wii U is a lot better compared to steam, since it doesn't crash every so often. The controls could be better. At least you can play as TF2 in the steam release.

Man, do the themes theme. The atmosphere, the music, the characters, everything is great. I love how it gets you to learn more about its characters as you travel with them and unravel the mystery of what exactly happened to have everything end up as it is. If you like JRPG's and want to get into SMT, this is the place to start.

New game mechanics make this one very interesting, I do think Capcom is a coward for not making more of their major characters have darker skin. It's in South East Asia, it should not be that hard. I do think they could do Rayfa's design better as well. At least the Wright Anything Agency can add "Overthrowing a government" to it's list.
The only thing interesting was the newer characters. It shouldn't have forced Phoenix back to the spotlight, rather let Apollo and Athena have their time to shine. Best part was Simon Blackquill and Detective Fullbright. One major thing that bugged me was not being able to investigate all the items in a room. That lost a big part of the charm for me.

Nice QOL stuff and additions to the late game, but wow does it gut the story. Especially between Lillie and Lusamine. It really could've been done better, without having to cut their story short to make way for Necrozma and the other Ultra Beast stuff.

It's about being a ghost and doing tricks! Obviously it's about death. About relationships and how each action can affect the other, good or bad. It's about second chances and trying again, no matter how many times it takes.
It's a great game, though it does deal a lot with the death of pets if that bothers anyone. I highly recommend playing it if you're able to.
